Monday, January 26, 2015. Did you see this photo on the front page of the New York Times last week? It took my breath away. First of all, it was something on the front page to smile about. Second, it was such a beautiful image. And third, it reminded me of the romance of ballet. With Valentine's Day coming up, you might consider going to a ballet. It is one of the most romantic of the arts. Are you a fan? The 2013 production of Onegin. By The American Ballet Company. The costumes were beautiful. It was a...

Friday, September 26, 2014. A Little London Magic. I am just getting back from a wonderful trip to England. Autumn arrived while we were there, though everyone thought it felt more like Indian summer. The weather was beautiful - sparkling sunshine and blue skies. Once I catch my breath, I will write more about the trip. But here are a few highlights from bustling London:. Anne Boleyn crowned as queen in "Wolf Hall". A walk across Tower bridge on a beautiful day is always a treat. St Mawes, Corwall. Would...

Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Woman with a Book" by Vanessa Bell. What are you reading? I ask my friends all the time and they ask me. Everyone is in a book group and we're all talking about books. I am happy to say that during the last few months I have made some serious inroads on my ever-growing stack on my nightstand. And it feels so good! I recently finished four books that I wanted to share with you. They are an eclectic group - each one is very good and different from the others. Vanessa And Her Sister.

A collection of stories around the digital fire. Texture of a good travel life (or why we take our kids along). April 26, 2011. Two of the greatest gifts we can give our children are roots and wings. I recently came across this marvelous quote. It helps me answering the question why we take our children along on our global travels. The world inspires: it makes us happy and makes us cry. The worlds truth can bring us to tears where hope makes us smile. When we have accepted our own world, we step up and s...

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. The Love of a House. The drawing room of interior designer Penny Morrison's 1790 Welsh home. Whenever I read an article about someone finding the perfect house because it speaks to them and they feel connected, I always think of E.M. Forster's 1910 novel Howards End. The story is fascinating and the photos definitely fall into the category of "eye candy." I got the feeling that this house spoke to her and she instinctively knew it was meant to be hers. They furnished the entire h...

Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Do you ever wonder about the beginning of a writing career, such as that of the brilliant writer Charlotte Bronte? To read more.) The book that caught my eye over the weekend was The World Within, The Brontes at Haworth. Monday, April 27, 2015. Do you know about The Grolier Club? It is a sanctuary for book lovers. I discovered it just a few years ago when they were hosting a Virginia Woolf book exhibition. I was so excited about that one. Unfortunately I wasn't in time to see the exhibition, but I went in anyway and fell in love. Now I visit every time I'm in New York. The ground floor gallery of the Grolier Club. The space is absolutely gorgeous and its all about books. So, you might ask, what is the Grolier Club? It ce...

Ebenalp and swiss paragliding. July 27, 2015. We’ve just returned from Europe and one of the more memorable experiences was a trip to Ebenalp in the northernmost summit of the Appenzell Swiss Alps. I suggest a gondola up the steep, rugged rocks and follow a short hiking trail (make sure you greet others with a friendly “Grüezi! 8221;) to reach the Aescher cliff restaurant – they say 4770 feet above sea level- for a local meal and beer. (This recent Bon Appetit article. Cow bells softly clink and clank.

If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. 3 Admit Your Sin to Others. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. 4 Read the Bible.
