La Vida en la Republica Dominicana: April 2012
http://thegeerfam.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
La Vida en la Republica Dominicana. Sunday, April 29, 2012. Can Young Children Understand the Bible? I'm continuing to enjoy the radio program on www.reviveourhearts.com and this 3 part series linked below is definitely worth hearing. I was challenged by the idea to read the Bible every day to my kids. We read The Jesus Storybook Bible a lot and we are working our way through Sally Micheal's God's Names. We regularly read portions of Scripture out of our Bible to the kids, but to read a chapter a day?

La Vida en la Republica Dominicana: August 2012
http://thegeerfam.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
La Vida en la Republica Dominicana. Saturday, August 11, 2012. We celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary this last Tuesday and instead of going out on the town, we enjoyed a "fancy" dinner with the kids. I set the table with china and name tags, and they even got to sip sangria for the festivity :). I wouldn't have even thought to celebrate in this way if I hadn't just recently read about "theme dinners" in Jean Flemming's A Mother's Heart. The kids and I got dressed up to surprise Daddy. He is continuing...

Keeping up with what's going on. Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Day 1 - on the way to Port-au-Prince. Matt and I slept on top of the 2-story Police station on cots under the stars with a great view of the city and the Presidential Palace. There was a late night worship service going on that I was too tired to attend but I went to sleep listening to the song , "How Great Thou Art.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://burgefam5.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Keeping up with what's going on. Thursday, February 21, 2008. Could it be TRUE? Is it possible that after 2 and a half years on the missionfield that the Burge Family could be getting a car? Well, this was our transportation for a lot of the time. Okaynow for more about the car. Now is where you come in...

The Good News: Day 4 - "The process is dirty but ...."
http://burgefam5.blogspot.com/2010/02/day-4-process-is-dirty-but.html
Keeping up with what's going on. Thursday, February 11, 2010. Day 4 - "The process is dirty but .". The men from Brazil (also with the organization YWAM) need a special thank you from everyone in camp. They were not medical workers but they volunteered for every difficult job. Every day they cleaned the men's bathroom and no one understands the humility in that unless you saw this situation with your own eyes. It was not pretty. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Keeping up with what's going on. Saturday, November 29, 2008. Don't you just love Thanksgiving? I love getting together with family and friends and sharing things that I am thankful to God for blessing me with. This year, though we were not with family since they are all back in South Carolina, we were with a lot of friends which made this Thanksgiving special. We actually celebrated Thanksgiving twice this year. No, your not seeing double from eating too much turkey. LOL We. Ate too much turkey since we.
