Saturday, December 17, 2011. It has been quite a while since I've posted. One of my New Year's resolutions is to post more often. Also coming- what I have been up to this year! Its been a busy one. But today I just wanted to post this video. I first saw this two years ago at about this time when I was serving my mission. The song is sung by Amy Grant, and the lyrics are from Mary's perspective of this experience. As you watch my face. If a wiser one should have had my place. But I offer all I am.

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Week 29 - La Cygne. First of all, I am so glad it is finally acting like spring! Thought I would get through this last winter, but I think it is. Finally over. Things are starting to turn green here and I am really. Excited about it. When I got to the midwest it was just starting to be. Fall, so I haven't really seen the beautiful green side of it. I am. And this week, it is supposed to get up to 80 degrees! When you are outside as much as we are, weather makes a huge. Are havi...

Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Week 68 - Happy New Year from Great Bend, Kansas. What a week. We made a billion batches of cookies this week and took them to everyone we know- an excellent way to get into people’s houses! We decided now we need to make cookies every week with a different theme: New Year’s cookies, winter cookies, snowman cookies, heart/cupid/valentines cookies…just keep it going all year. How can you resist two missionaries standing on your doorstep holding cookies? I climbed in and did t...

Friday, February 26, 2010. Week 24 - La Cygne. So for some reason I feel like I have not much to say this week, but I guess I said that last week and then I rambled on for a while. The most exciting thing that happened this week was that we committed one of our investigators for baptism! She is the cutest. Her husband is a member but hasn't been to church for a long time. I guess one day last transfer she called up the sisters and asked them if she could get baptized. Awesome! Apparently they have change...

Whitney store where Joseph and Emma lived for about 18 months, also housed the School of the Prophets and was the site where many of the revelations in the Doctrine and Covenants were received. In the room used as the School of the Prophets. Emma and me in the place where the cut the wood for the temple. I'm so glad that we got to go to Kirtland. We would have liked to visit the John Johnson and Morely farms, but it was hot and Emma ha...

Stauffer Family Blog: Mommy School
http://smstauffer.blogspot.com/2012/03/mommy-school.html
Wednesday, March 21, 2012. By the end of last school year I was so completely ready to be done with teaching school and just be a mom. I am so happy with the way things have turned out. Being a stay at home mom is the greatest, and I promise I'm not just saying that. Luxurious it is not. Extremely frustrating at times? Definitely. But what job isn't? I love being here to watch Emma grow. She amazes me. But there is still part of me that misses teaching. Emma is lucky to have such a great momma! April 8, ...

Stauffer Family Blog: October 2011
http://smstauffer.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 26, 2011. A couple nights ago I had a dream that Sterling told me he was going out on a date with some girl he met. I explained to him that since we are married he can't go out with other girls. He told me it was fine. I woke up so mad at him. Well, not exactly like my dream. I knew they were coming and I was there too, and we ended up becoming good friends. But it started off a lot like my dream. Tuesday, October 4, 2011. See doesn't she look like she's having a great time?

Abby in Wonderland: "You're supposed to be dead!" "Am I not?"

Sunday, January 15, 2012. You're supposed to be dead! Anyway, my first class is federal jurisdiction. It's going to be a class about federalism (the different powers afforded to the states and the federal government and the relationship between the two) and about federal courts. That sort of thing. I think I'm going to enjoy it. It's a really small class. There are only like 15 people in that class. I think that'll be good though. Anyway, I think it'll be a good class. Setting aside the cynicism, it'...
