Britt's Hiatus from Reality and Responsibilty. Friday, July 04, 2008. Chang Mai and Beyond. That is the second time we were lost and both times we had someone lead us directly to where we needed to go. They are so nice and friendly here. The rest of our ride was mainly worry free and beautiful as we traversed through rice fields and small towns, surrounded by giant green mountains. Heres a good site for Thai cooking. It's got about 30 recipes each one with a cooking video to go along. Free too.

Britt's Hiatus from Reality and Responsibilty. Monday, July 14, 2008. As a woman the men pretty much leave me alone and I have only heard a few cat calls when I was walking alone once. I feel safe walking around alone at night too. Sometimes I worry that I may be getting too relaxed but overall I am enjoying the carefree travel aspect. For now I have to say I like Laos better than Thailand. Most likely that is due to the fact that it is less developed, yet to by spoiled. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Britt's Hiatus from Reality and Responsibilty. Saturday, July 26, 2008. Well so much has been going on that there is no time to write. So now I am in the middle of Vietnam but I'll give a short Laos wrap up. Luang Prabang is a nice cute town along the river with lots of old French architecture and tons of upscale bars and restaurants. They have a nice temple on the top of a hill that we climbed to and freed some birds for good luck. Then we explored the crazy street meats and cute street market.
