Growing Younger: July 2014
http://lindseyheywood.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 14, 2014. I remember Katri and I had a running tally from our ward directories of who was married. thank you Facebook. By our junior year, over half of our freshman ward was married. I would always try to find patterns in who was married and who wasn't. Was it a specific character trait? How outgoing they are? How many dates they went on? And I think in my secret heart of hearts it was a quiet: What is wrong with me? Now that I am in a married ward, I can tell you what the theme is. Happines...

Growing Younger: June 2014
http://lindseyheywood.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 3, 2014. I'm attempting to gather my thoughts from their resting places. My heart is reluctant to let these feelings be translated into words. Life is good. So good. Marriage confused me. I had studied all that I could get my hands on, trying to prepare for 'the most important decision of my life'. most terrifying string of words ever. can we agree on that? How do you go from being a normal person to a wife? Because the important decision had already been made. I should marry. It was who.

http://2024miles.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Cooking, Crafts, and Projects. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. I have LOTS of catching up to do. You'd think that with all my extra time now that school is over, I would be able to keep up my blog. not sure what I end up doing with that spare time HA! From May 6th through the 10th, me and the rest of the Miles clan were aboard the Carnival Inspiration, heading to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. No need to plan or prepare meals, worry about everyone being entertained, etc. It was seriously the best! They w...

Cooking, Crafts, and Projects. Monday, June 3, 2013. Makes Me Wanna Take a Back Road. The hubster and I spent Memorial Day weekend with his family up in Driggs, Idaho at the Buxton Farm, on Buxton Lane, just over Buxton bridge. After the long car ride through the middle of nowhere, you enter the beautiful valley, overlooked by the Tetons. Spent his summers working side by side Granpda and Grandma Buxton, repairing fences, branding calves, plowing fields, moving pipe. He learned how to work and how to...

Cooking, Crafts, and Projects. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Come Listen to a Prophet's Voice. Last weekend was a weekend I had been looking forward to for months: General Conference! General Conference weekend is always a fun and busy one for our family. Because my father-in-law works for the church, we have the awesome opportunity to attend sessions each time. I'm so grateful for that opportunity; being in the conference center is something special - I hope everyone can experience it at least once! We all ne...

But now that fall is no longer associated with the stress of going back to school (which, I must admit, has been a bittersweet thing), I can honestly say I am falling for fall. October general conference. being inspired and uplifted. receiving answers to prayers. feeling very strongly of god's love for me and those around me. The Miles Family: two-thousand fourteen
http://2024miles.blogspot.com/2014/01/two-thousand-fourteen.html
Cooking, Crafts, and Projects. Friday, January 24, 2014. Not a whole lot. That seems to be my problem. I'm wanting and waiting for something big to happen; but I keep getting reminded that sometimes, we aren't in complete control of our lives. Sometimes, there's a bigger plan for us that we can't always envision. Sometimes, our perspective gets so small and limited that life seems disappointing. In the meantime, I'm going to try to live in the NOW, be present in my life, because my life is GOOD.
