Macrotask: fix Amazon.com's Mechanical Turk. Bad customer service is never funny. The ban-monster strikes again:. Haha, this is pretty funny. Today I received two emails from Amazon apologizing for the warning emails, apparently only the first of three warnings were valid, the other two were Amazon mistakes. They say that the account has been reactivated. we'll see if they follow through. I think it means they're not paying attention. January 26, 2012 at 4:05 PM. I dont mind badmouthing Amazon at all!

It's an awesome 3 part description of what happens on the requester side which makes the blocking policy so unfair for Turkers, asymmetrical, if you will. He goes on to explain some shocking facts:. Requesters can block up to 100,000 people. They don't have to give a reason. You don't get an email when it happens. They can block all of your work in a batch after looking at only one HIT.
