This is a painting I did of that coffee shop and a sweet girl I met here. Biff, rosie and hazel. I know just what you mean. Coffeehouses have their own little comfortable ambiance. The last post of July. Anyway, enough of that. I do have something that I painted today :). It is the last of my fruit/veggie series and it may be my favorite. Pears, 6"x6", oil on board:. Cascade mountain, 5"x7", watercolor. A very dear friend. My sister in law just had a baby a few weeks ago. Her husband's birthday is today and so she asked me to paint him this image for her gift to him. He is getting it today, hope he liked it! Birthday card, 3.75"x9". Peppers, 6"x6", oil on board. Apples, 6"x6", oil.

So, I am not sure if this is the beginning of another alphabet series or not, but I had a commission recently from my etsy shop to create a name design but with a nautical theme, instead of my usual animals. It really has been amazing me to to see how big the interest is for nautical themed art. Maybe I need to move to the coast to see what this is all about! I love the nautical alphabets. Sushi booties and onsies. I have to say that I feel like I am going to a lot of baby showers these days, and I am SUPER excited for the one I am going to go to tomorrow. My brother (a fellow sushi lover) served as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For two years in Japan. (So did I! If you didn't know.) Thursday, July 30, 2009. I'm here at the end of my journey, and I can't believe it! This has been a great learning experience. I'm amazed at how much I have learned in less than four weeks while also having a lot of fun! 1 I can't just pick one or two of the discoveries as my favorite! The discoveries that I liked the most were: Photo Story. Lulu (Aspiring Authors),. All the Google products. And Flickr Creative Commons. I definitely plan on continuing to use thse programs as well as a few of the others.

I blame this on my parents, who whisked me off to Egypt at the tender age of six months. After five years in the Middle East and visits to other exotic parts of the globe, they had me hooked on travel. And the more I explore, the more I realize how little I know about the world.
