I learned of Maya‘s enchanting presence through a friend ( Johanna. Who introduced me to their group, Wicked. http://papertopias.blogspot.com/2011/06/new-catagory-doll-of-week.html
Thursday, June 23, 2011. New Catagory: Doll of the Week. I am starting a new category for this paper world! Each week I am going to post a doll and throughout the week will post outfits for it. This doll is inspired by the talented Miss Tess. And done in black ink on some very velvety and delicious cold press water color paper, I had a few scraps let over from the Frisky Faerie. Please print out and color if you wish, and create your own voluminous water world fantasies for her to wear! Doll of the week.

http://phaedraelizabeth.blogspot.com/2012/08/works-in-progress.html
Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Photos by Joe Tanis. It's been fairly hectic the last fews weeks, (hence the quiet on the blog front) and there are some things that I've been finishing up that I can't wait to share with you. Alas, the Bride always gets to make her debut before I get to share anything with you! In the meantime, here's some of my works in progress. Joe Tanis always takes the best photos of things I'm working on. Posted by Phaedra Elizabeth. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jenn at the Emmys.

Phaedra Elizabeth: July 2012
http://phaedraelizabeth.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 19, 2012. Bridesmaids Dresses, a study. Photos by Joe Tanis. I've watched 27 dresses, (it's actually really funny, don't judge me) and there were some amazing dresses in that movie, all of them terrible. I learned, that most of these dresses were bought for this movie! They were made ON PURPOSE to sell to the public, not just dreamed up by a costume designer challenged to make 27 terrible dresses! We all know these dresses have a really bad rap. And yet they get so little attention. Pictur...

Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Nominations are always glamorous! Above is the Nominated design team for the show The Good Wife. On the left is my friend Jenn Rogien. In the middle is her boss Dan Lawson and on the right is Daniele Hollywood. It's not every day that one of my really good friends gets nominated for an Emmy in Costume design. (Jenn was very clear that the nomination was in her boss's name and I totally understand that, it is still very exciting! So this is what we came up with! I learned so much!

Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Photo by me at their wedding, 9-7-12. I've known Samantha for a couple of years. When she got engaged to Alfonso, I was really excited. They are a rare couple, they're the couple that have actually been together for what seems like forever but act a little bit like they just met. Sam is an Interior Designer and we've always had great conversations about design. So I was also really excited to discuss her wedding dress with her! Photo by Joe Tanis. Photo by Joe Tanis.
