Terra farmer: Blooming Friday!
http://terrafarmer.blogspot.com/2009/12/blooming-friday.html
Trying to get a firmer grip on 'green' in India's north east! Friday, December 4, 2009. It's Blooming Friday again. Now that we've come to the end of the year,. The days seem to be flying faster. To see other blooms around the world,. Please head over to Katarina's @ Roses and Stuff. My first blooms are of the Jatropha Integerrima. The shrub is about 2 ft. tall. Now I'd bought it last year. A kind of wild salvia I'd picked up from the wayside in August is blooming. To pose for me! Coming to an end. Prett...

Return to Brahmanpalli →. The rain lily doing its job and other developments in the garden. Some Golden yellow chrysanthemums are a wonder to behold in the sun. I’m having to hold myself back from writing cliches about their colour and the sun. In the balcony upstairs, the chili plant is flowering, and so is a self-seeding tomato. Terrace garden bliss in Hyderabad | oxygenforthesoul

Losing my religion →. Terrace garden bliss in Hyderabad. I managed as well as I could with the balcony, even growing a passion fruit vine and a rose, apart from other unusual plants from a local nursery. But there were other problems with the flat, including bad plumbing and noise — cacophony actually — every night from a house and a building opposite. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. oxygen for the soul: July 2010
http://oxygenforthesoul.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Oxygen for the soul. My attempts at gardening in Bangalore. The foxes' wedding and the monkeys' dance. It was one of those times when it's raining and the sun is shining at the same time. As kids, we were told that this is known as the foxes' wedding and the monkeys' dance. The light cast on my philodendrons and firebush was so beautiful, I had to try and capture it. I got a good approximation with the philodendrons. But I'm not sure I got close enough to the real thing with the firebush. The chili plant...

Planting Summer seedlings
http://ourdhara.blogspot.com/2014/05/planting-summer-seedlings.html
Friday, May 2, 2014. Well, this past week since I planted the summer seedlings, I have lost 6 of the Orange Celosia and maybe 8 Periwinkles. It is a miserable feeling to see your newly planted seedlings all wilted, shriveled up and ready to give up. A couple of the Zinnias too are looking like they might go either way. One of the reasons I think, might be the summer heat. So I visited Master Seeds at Barafkhana to replenish the Celosia and buy some pots. But there is a silver lining to the proverbial clo...

oxygen for the soul: Plant rescue
http://oxygenforthesoul.blogspot.com/2011/04/plant-rescue.html
Oxygen for the soul. My attempts at gardening in Bangalore. For various reasons, I haven't made much headway with populating my balconies with plants. Right now the more urgent task is resucitating plants brought over from the other flat. It looks almost a goner but on the top right there's a tiny, almost completely white leaf, curled onto itself so it looks even smaller. This augurs well for resucitation. Auguries for Nagaraj are not so good. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe in a reader.
