The Bull-a-tin: The Life Youth Parade

http://www.bullatin.blogspot.com/2005/12/life-youth-parade.html

Wednesday, December 21, 2005. The Life Youth Parade. This is the bulls parade that we decided to get involved in the night before. it wasnt till about an hour before it started when we decided to put a 'life youth' poster on the trailer, hence the lack of quality of the poster itself (which was a lot better looking before jonny butchered it with his inept painting skills). 1 Our sign on the trailer. 2 Geoff making some last minute changes. 3 Jonny getting on his unicycle as the Landrover leaves.

http://www.bullatin.blogspot.com/2005/12/first-bull-tin-sent-out.html

Sunday, December 04, 2005. First bull-a-tin sent out. We thought we'd better get our first update of before time moves on too. In case you have no idea what we are on about this email is an update. What Philip and I are up to over Bulls this summer. We have moved out. The intention of helping the church here reach the youth in this area. Have a lot to learn ourselves, as we've never done anything like this. We've been here four days now. We are living with a guy named Andy. At the local primary school.

http://www.bullatin.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 21, 2005. Jonnys ill fated first public unicycle appearance. Jonny was a bit nervous about riding his unicyle in public, but we managed to peruade him, and give him lollies that he could throw at people. But unfortunately, it was not to be. 1 Jonny trying to catch up to the landrover, which is trying to catch up with the parade. Jonny is in the parade! 3 Hmmmm, Jonny has quit the parade. 4 Things aren't looking too good. 6 Jonny, rueing the day. Posted by thekingphil at 11:44 AM.

Phil in Thailand 2006: Back in New Zealand

http://thaiphil.blogspot.com/2007/01/back-in-new-zealand.html

Phil in Thailand 2006. Wednesday, January 17, 2007. Back in New Zealand. Well I'm back in NZ now. I'm very glad it's summer cuz even now it doesn't feel quite as warm as it should be! Very good to be greeted by Gareth and Carissa at the airport, even though I had to wear balloon animals in front of everyone at the airport as part of my welcome home! Gareth, me, and Carissa at the Wellington Airport. (that balloon hat thing is another couple feet high). I'm definitely glad I went to Thailand, and if anyon...

Phil in Thailand 2006: Thailand 1

http://thaiphil.blogspot.com/2006/12/thailand-1.html

Phil in Thailand 2006. Friday, December 08, 2006. Well, I have been in Thailand 5 days now, and it has been pretty full on. Had a good break in Australia first. Bit dramatic. But a really good rest with my family. So far we have been involved in handing out information fliers and tracts on campus, helping out with English and Bible lessons. We have met quite a few Chinese students so far, so on Wednesday night, we had a trilingual Bible study, in Thai, English and Chinese! Johnny and Anne are expecting a...

Phil in Thailand 2006: The Final Word

http://thaiphil.blogspot.com/2006/12/final-word.html

Phil in Thailand 2006. Wednesday, December 27, 2006. So far, my conclusions from the trip? Do I love the Thai people and see their need for the gospel? Is this love I feel unique to them? Do I have unique skills for the Thai context? I think I could survive, which is actually quite a good start. Music and drama and high energy seem like pretty important assets over here, but I might scrape through with some sports skills. If I had complete freedom, would I come back to Thailand as soon as possible? I jus...

http://thaiphil.blogspot.com/2006/12/thailand-3.html

Phil in Thailand 2006. Friday, December 15, 2006. Thanks heaps for praying! James and I went to play basketball on Wednesday night and 8 guys followed us back to the youth house to hear a short gospel message and join in an evening of games, which was really encouraging. It is really amazing to get guys coming along, as Johnny and Anne (missionaries working here) say that it is predominantly girls who come along. It seems like time has gone by so fast, as we are due to finish next Friday! I'm glad you're ...

Phil in Thailand 2006. Friday, November 03, 2006. First of all, thanks so much for all of your support. It has been so encouraging to see people get behind our team to Thailand. I've been really blessed and am looking forward to the trip more than ever! Also, thanks for the financial support. I'm pretty much at full support now (as long as I get around to collecting it! Phil in Thailand 2006. Saturday, January 13, 2007.
