The Burgess Family Blog: SWIMMING!!
http://burgessbasecamp.blogspot.com/2015/08/swimming.html
The Burgess Family Blog. Friday, August 07, 2015. I feel like we failed at summer a bit this year. We've had a lot of fun, but it seems we missed out on some of the basics of summer, like. swimming! We finally took our kids to the local outdoor pool last weekend. It was kinda cold, which probably helps explain why we don't get this done much. But the kids had a blast no matter what! I guess we wore the little one out! More pictures coming soon! Enter your email to be notified of new updates!

The Burgess Family Blog. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. May I blog in May. I read John Green's The Fault In Our Stars. This weekend. It was a predictable but still enjoyable read. If you've read it or perhaps seen the movie, you are familiar with the storyline- two teenaged cancer patients fall in love. At one point in the story, Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Among other things (I haven't planted any flowers yet this spring! About a month ago I wrote about my lost love of writing, and other "impractical but beaut...

The Burgess Family Blog. Sunday, July 05, 2015. Here are some photos of our Independence Day weekend:. On the 3rd, there was a little music festival in the nearby mountain town. We stopped by a free museum first, and then enjoyed the music and sunshine and some ice cream cones. It's so pretty there! I miss being in the mountains. Pearl wore a dress because I said it was a "festival." She said therefore she must dress up! Enter your email to be notified of new updates! Don't worry, I can't see it).

The Burgess Family Blog: October 2014
http://burgessbasecamp.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
The Burgess Family Blog. Thursday, October 23, 2014. My thoughts on hymns and modern praise songs. Recently, the wife of Joel Osteen got a lot of attention when she said this:. My first thought upon hearing that was, well I guess I should just stop going to church, stop worshiping God, stop obeying Him. Because sometimes it doesn't make me happy. Right? Oh wait. I guess I was under the impression that I did those things because He's God,. And it really has very little to do with me. But perhaps someone w...
