デンマークで製作された ビルマＶＪ消された革命 はドキュメンタリー映画ですが、映画の視点はビデオジャーナリストでジョシュアと名乗る若い男性ビデオジャーナリスト ＶＪの 心のレンズ を通して、心で感じた激しい怒りやそして恐怖などビルマの現状をありのままに描き出しています。 日本では2010年5月15日に公開された ビルマVJ 消された革命 は、2007年9月にビルマで起きた抗議活動の顛末で構成された作品ですが、それより前1988年に学生を中心にした民主化運動が起こりますが、その民主化運動は軍部によって徹底的に弾圧されます。 物価引下げ 燃料の寝詐欺 今回のデモで拘束された人たちの解放 を要求しながらの行進でした。 僧侶たちが 和解を と叫びながら行進すると、市民達は 僧侶が来た と僧侶の姿に励まされそして勇気付けられます。 市民たちはスーチー氏に お元気で 早く解放されますように という声をかけていきます。 そしてこの僧侶たちによる祈りの行進から、やがて大きな行進へとなったまさに ビルマでの革命 サフラン革命とも言われる の様子は、ビデオジャーナリスト ＶＪの活躍で海外のニュースに大きく取り上げられました。
