The readings and writings of Jessie Sanders. Long Awaited Book Review! Pogue, Aaron. Gods Tomorrow. OKC, OK: Consortium Books, 2010. 8220;He used to say, ‘Peddlers today, Gods tomorrow.’ It was like a mantra for him….We have some amazing technology, but we haven’t made any gods yet” (144). I give it a four star rating because I found the beginning and the techno-jargon a little slowing. It was necessary for the plot and to understand the world, but the how of the whole thing didn’t interest me ...So the ...

Stormy Night Publishing: September 2010
http://bubblehead87.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
The readings and writings of Jessie Sanders. Dark and Stormy Night Publishing. One of my failed attempts to start this story. I got stuck here and realized that it was not going in the right direction. Harder than it sounds. So I feel much better now that I've chosen what project to work on for November 2010. And what project is that, might you ask? Retrospectively (since we all know what's going to happen) or from a more active stand-point? Now excuse me while I go update my nano profile. The book explo...

The readings and writings of Jessie Sanders. Insert yet to be renamed Christian gardening book title here]. Today I learned that:. Gardening books always have boring titles, and most of the time they're ridiculously long, too. I must say that I like my boss pretty well, except that when he's talking to me half the time I think he's mumbling to himself. But I guess I can't be too upset since I do the same (Sean can attest to that). Today I learned that:. First Day at Tate. Insert evil laugh here]. Oh, and...

Stormy Night Publishing: Janus at the door: looking behind and ahead
http://bubblehead87.blogspot.com/2011/01/janus-at-door-looking-behind-and-ahead.html
The readings and writings of Jessie Sanders. Janus at the door: looking behind and ahead. I thought now would be a good time to look back at where I was a year ago in my life. Well, weather-wise, we have seen some definite changes. There was no blizzard on Christmas, and it has hardly gotten below freezing this winter. Global Warming must be true! In more good news, my house is already tree-less. We might have hung on to our Christmas tree longer than recommended last year. Finish writing on one novel.

Stormy Night Publishing: February 2010
http://bubblehead87.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
The readings and writings of Jessie Sanders. Getting the creative juices flowing. So here's where I stand on Into the Flames. The novel I WILL. Settle down and finish this year. Word Count: 18,526. I think I'm about half way through the plot right now, maybe two thirds, but I'm pretty sure I can add some scenes and embellish throughout to make it a "real" novel length. If I go crazy then will you still call me Superman? If I'm alive and well will you be there holding my hand? Book list for 2010. 3) Pirat...

The readings and writings of Jessie Sanders. Book update for July. Just finished Wuthering Heights last night. Now my currently reading list consists of:. The 10 PM Question. The Secret Life of Words: How English Became English. Also, I'm almost done with my first draft of Into the Flames. Just about two thousand words to go, really, if I end it where I think I'm going to. THen it's time for a complete re-read and mock-up/brainstorm to get motivated for the second draft! I'm sorry, but Jeggings. I hate t...

Stormy Night Publishing: Review: Electric Literature
http://bubblehead87.blogspot.com/2011/01/review-electric-literature.html
The readings and writings of Jessie Sanders. When I first read that Amazon offered many magazines in digital form straight to your Kindle, I snorted. Kindles are for bibliophiles, and when I think of magazines I think of things like Time, Newsweek, and The New York Times. Those aren’t things that real book readers read, right? What do all these magazines have in common? And while it is a bit more costly than some popular serials ($4.95 on your Kindle for one issue), it is also quite a bit more substa...
