Photograph 1 is of the Clowbridge Chip Saloon F.C., winning the Loveclough Medal Competition April 23rd 1910. On the Photograph are two of the Spencer Brothers (front row second left possibly Harold,) see memorial. Photograph 2 is of Providence F.C. taken in 1915 when the first world war was already a year old, most of these lads will have been drawn into the armed forces at some time. Photograph 3 is of Loveclough Football Club, around the time of the Great War, 1914-1918. 15th March 2016 at 12:21 pm.

In 1999, when I first started to look at Providence as a project, I put a notice in the Rossendale Free Press for anyone who could give me any informationabout the Chapel, with very little success. The biggest help coming from Trish at Rawtenstall Library, who was and still is,most helpful and informative on local studies. 5th of July 1999. The Photograph below is of a Wedding at Providence of Miss Gertrude Holt and Milton Heap, it is taken in the Chapel grounds, with the side view of the chapel looking toward Burnley. The War Memorial now stands just behind the two ladies extreme right with the dark hats. Front row extreme left is the Reverend E F Lord and his wife, Rev Lord left Providence in 1914.
