Burrs Activity Centre is ideally situated in Burrs Country Park and with the River Irwell running through the park it is the only UK Activity Centre able to offer white-water kayaking and canoeing on site. In addition our team of fully qualified instructors can also offer both kayaking and canoeing in our purpose built training pool, canoe polo, abseiling, rafting, orienteering, adventure games, archery, and indoor climbing on our own climbing wall. All staffed by our qualified and experienced instructors.

Abseiling down Peel Tower is a great activity for Charity fund raising. This is a 120ft abseil down the Peel Tower monument tower which overlooks Holcombe Brook and Bury and on clear days you can see for miles around. We can meet you at the base of the Tower after you have enjoyed the walk up the path to it and there is a car park available to leave your cars.

For those of you who have already tried their hands at kayaking on flat water we can offer an introduction to white water on the River Irwell, which meanders through the site with numerous rapids providing some more challenging fun.
