Chockful and Bursting With Joy. A project of finding joy in the every day. Thursday, October 31, 2013. One of these things is not like the others. One of these things is not like the others. One of these things, doesn't belong.the tune from the old Sesame Street song danced through my head. As I sat at the table in front of the stained glass window withvthe sunshining in, I'm certain that my gayly colored yellow blouse screamed "IT'S A GIRL! Although at 50 I hardly feel like a girl any longer. Finally a ...

Chockful and Bursting With Joy: Winning the Lottery
http://burstingwithjoy.blogspot.com/2015/02/winning-lottery.html
Chockful and Bursting With Joy. A project of finding joy in the every day. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. At lunch today, I walked along the sidewalk in Riverside Park enjoying the pleasant, sunny winter day. I was chatting on the phone with my mother about a particularly good piece of news that I couldn't wait to share with her. Perhaps you remember my mom from a previous post. If not, you can read it here. I truly did win the birth lottery and I can't wait to spend a lot more time with you very soon.

Chockful and Bursting With Joy: November 2013
http://burstingwithjoy.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Chockful and Bursting With Joy. A project of finding joy in the every day. Friday, November 29, 2013. I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone! And that is dying. Links to this post. Some areas ar...

Chockful and Bursting With Joy: A Delightful Moment
http://burstingwithjoy.blogspot.com/2013/11/a-delightful-moment.html
Chockful and Bursting With Joy. A project of finding joy in the every day. Thursday, November 7, 2013. As I gaze out the window of the airplane at the ground below sparsely covered with snow, I am struck by the contrast between the white snow on the ground and the white clouds floating in the sky. Miles below me, yet miles above the ground, the clouds cast their shadow on the earth far below. Far below the dark rivers and roads snake across the landscape making crazy patterns in the snow.

Chockful and Bursting With Joy: It's Just A Bad Rap
http://burstingwithjoy.blogspot.com/2015/02/its-just-bad-rap.html
Chockful and Bursting With Joy. A project of finding joy in the every day. Monday, February 23, 2015. It's Just A Bad Rap. I'll be totally honest and I hope I don't disappoint you, but here goes. It's been more difficult for me to spot my "Chockful and Bursting with Joy" moments since I've started living in NYC. I know this is exactly opposite of some people. They look around and see excitement! The city energizes them! New Yorkers have gotten a really bad rap, however. In over 16 months time,. WW Barnab...

Chockful and Bursting With Joy: Hi! How are you?
http://burstingwithjoy.blogspot.com/2013/10/hi-how-are-you.html
Chockful and Bursting With Joy. A project of finding joy in the every day. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. I read the other day that the most common lie we (as North Americans) tell is when we respond to the question, "How are you? We typically answer without even thinking about it. We open our mouths and out comes the canned response ."I'm fine." "Good! Since it's really just a pleasantry and we are not really. Looking for an honest answer why don't we switch up our question? What makes your heart sing?

Chockful and Bursting With Joy: The Daily Commute
http://burstingwithjoy.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-daily-commute.html
Chockful and Bursting With Joy. A project of finding joy in the every day. Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Today I took the subway to and from work for the first time. I've been on the subway in years past, but never as a daily mode of travel to work. My morning commute looked like this:. My ride home was rather different and looked more like this:. For a people watcher the subway certainly offers variety that's for sure. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Check out my other blogs.

Chockful and Bursting With Joy: November 2012
http://burstingwithjoy.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Chockful and Bursting With Joy. A project of finding joy in the every day. Friday, November 30, 2012. Filled w/Thanks = Filled w/Joy: Day 30. I am thankful for Harry. Prior to meeting Harry I sat down and made a list of all the things I felt were important to me in a relationship - the things I felt I needed and desired. I kept this in mind as I made my list; thus it was a pretty long list. I prayed about it a lot and asked God to put me in such a relationship. Links to this post. Links to this post.
