Fixed Gear (Build 1): Almost There!
http://bikebuild1.blogspot.com/2007/07/woohoo-progess-is-wonderful-thing.html
Fixed Gear (Build 1). Thursday, July 5, 2007. Progess is a wonderful thing. Got almost all the parts. I'm just waiting on the frame which will be hear on the 11th of July. Only a few more days! Sadly, I'll be out of town when it gets here, but after 4 or 5 months, I can wait it out. Picked up a Nitto CT-80. Stem from Business Cycles. Got an EAI 17t cog from them as well. Then read the Barnett Manual about truing and dishing and it worked great. How are you liking the CT-80? October 12, 2007 at 10:50 AM.

Pedal Power!: Crow Feet Wrinkles and No Regrets
http://jentriplett.blogspot.com/2015/05/crow-feet-wrinkles-and-no-regrets.html
Training thoughts, ideas, observations on the road of life to pedaling in circles really, really fast. Monday, May 18, 2015. Crow Feet Wrinkles and No Regrets. It hit me in waves. A sense of undeniable grief I haven't felt in awhile. I had to lay down. Moonli wagged his tail to console me. After sobbing and feeling the hole in my heart open, I pulled myself up and reached over to dust off the memory book with Ryan's face on its cover. He's been on my mind a lot lately. Pedal Power!: Digging Into the Pain Cave

Training thoughts, ideas, observations on the road of life to pedaling in circles really, really fast. Monday, August 03, 2015. Digging Into the Pain Cave. Pain is complex because it's a subjective experience. Your pain differs from your teammate, from your spouse, from your kids, from the person sitting next to you. Everyone experiences their own unique reaction when it comes to pain. So what is pain? Think of your pain threshold as a combination of body and mind experience. Your body sends a messag...

Pedal Power!: What's your bliss?
http://jentriplett.blogspot.com/2015/03/whats-your-bliss.html
Training thoughts, ideas, observations on the road of life to pedaling in circles really, really fast. Tuesday, March 03, 2015. A woman from the car dealership picked me up today so I could retrieve my car from the shop. She was in her mid-fifties and had a ginger red bob haircut with pink lipstick. We started talking about cars and how nice it would be to know how to fix them. Guys have it easier, usually their fathers will teach them," she told me. Your dad must have taught you all of that," she assumed.

Pedal Power!: August 2014
http://jentriplett.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Training thoughts, ideas, observations on the road of life to pedaling in circles really, really fast. Thursday, August 28, 2014. I looked down at my Garmin and figured this was as good of a place as any to turn around. I put my rain jacket on and zoomed downhill. Then it started raining harder and I started smiling. I miss riding in the rain. It's an old friend I know well and one that I realized I hadn't seen in awhile. It started raining harder and a bigger smile spread across my face. Twelve Steps to...

Pedal Power!: February 2015
http://jentriplett.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Training thoughts, ideas, observations on the road of life to pedaling in circles really, really fast. Tuesday, February 10, 2015. I parked in downtown Seattle with an extra 20 minutes to spare. I sat in the car, practicing my four minute speech out loud. With five minutes to go, I got out and headed up the busy street to the lobby of the Cosmopolitan Condos. Nervous, excited, curious, thrilled, petrified. I immediately volunteered. I had practiced, reminding myself of when to pause for greater impac...

With a turning vehicle, I winced. That could be me. That could be Benjamin. That could be any one of my friends. It happened to someone in our community. To someone I met sitting on the sidelines cheering Kennett on at the Superior Morgul crit. Wednesday, October 08, 2014. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The New World ...

Pedal Power!: December 2014
http://jentriplett.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Training thoughts, ideas, observations on the road of life to pedaling in circles really, really fast. Wednesday, December 24, 2014. TEDxSeattle Audition - Coming Soon! I'm petrified. And yet I'm thrilled. About a month ago my sister told me that TEDx is coming to Seattle. She sent me a link to their application and on a whim I filled it out. I want to share with the world my experience with sudden death as a gift and my desire to shift the paradigm around death and dying. Grief is a gift. I grabbed a fe...
