Busy Beez Gardening Club

Busy Beez Gardening Club. Tuesday, 12 July 2011. End of Another Year. And time for the harvest. It's like a treasure hunt, digging for golden potatoes. Haven't the Busy Beez done well? We have a nice healthy harvest of potatoes, peas, onions and garlic. They have seeds inside, which vegetables do not have. Yet more potatoes, these will be harvested in the autumn. The young tree saplings are strong and healthy. Soon to be planted out. A large meadow isn't always necessary for some insect-friendly blooms.

Busy Beez Gardening Club: December 2010

http://www.busybeezgardeningclub.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Busy Beez Gardening Club. Friday, 17 December 2010. Did you know that it has been one of the coldest starts to winter since records began? Usually the worst of our winter weather is in January and February, so it came of a bit of a surprise, when in November, winter arrived early. This is the deepest December snow since records began in 1882. Thick snow and ice may have caused chaos in many parts of Britain, but the Beez have been as busy as ever in the garden. Busy Beez Gardening Club: April 2010

http://www.busybeezgardeningclub.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Busy Beez Gardening Club. Tuesday, 27 April 2010. The last meeting of April, and it's another beautiful day. We had hoped to have a mass planting session in the Parent's Room, but our large bag of compost hadn't arrived. Fortunately, we had a back-up plan. The potatoes we planted last week have already begun to sprout leaves. We need to keep covering the 'haulms' with compost to create more potatoes, and of course the watering needs to be done. Busy Beez Gardening Club: Lazy Summer Days

http://www.busybeezgardeningclub.blogspot.com/2011/07/lazy-summer-days.html

Busy Beez Gardening Club. Tuesday, 12 July 2011. There's still time to plant for some late summer - autumn colour. Among these young seedlings are Calendular, also known as Marigolds. Bright colour that will hopefully be in full swing for our return in September. A large meadow isn't always necessary for some insect-friendly blooms. These brightly coloured begonias have interesting leaves, as do the pelargoniums. A warm greeting to the school entrance, I think you'll agree. If only we had smelly-vision!

Busy Beez Gardening Club: March 2010

http://www.busybeezgardeningclub.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Busy Beez Gardening Club. Tuesday, 30 March 2010. What a difference just a couple of days can make. This time last week we had beautiful, warm Spring sunshine right up to the weekend. This week we are dodging heavy and prolonged showers! There's somewhat of a chill in the air too, with talk of some snow! There was deadheading to do in the hanging baskets to prolong the flowering of our pretty pansies, and the challenge to build some staging was met headlong by some of the older Beez. Today has been good ...

Busy Beez Gardening Club: August 2010

http://www.busybeezgardeningclub.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Busy Beez Gardening Club. Tuesday, 17 August 2010. Our lovely caretaker has been watering our crops, and they have really responded! Our pumpkin patch isn't quite sure of what it wants to produce. Pumpkins were certainly planted, but what is cropping is anyone's guess! The young tree has been cut down in the Junior Bed, making it a very different looking space. And what about this whopper! Posted by Rambling Rose. Wednesday, 4 August 2010. Look at the size of some of these leaves! Looking suspiciously li...

Busy Beez Childminders - Ofsted Registered childminders in Bolton

Welcome to Busy Beez! My name is Jean Farrell, together with my husband Ken we are Busy Beez Childminders! Being a childminder means I am different from a nursery as I can only look after a certain amount of children at any one time and therefore I can offer lots of individual attention to the children. I provide a homelike environment and this seems to appeal to parents as they know the child has all the comforts and security of a home setting as well as having other children to play with.

Welcome to the Beez Hive

Welcome to the Beez Hive. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Week Four: Hurry up! Get out the door! This week seems to have flown by. Time spent with people you love tends to do that. We have had very fine weather for most of the week, and we have had a very fine time with everyone. I have received several responses with questions like, “How is this trip possible? 8221; and “What started this Great Adventure? 8221; and shewed me out the door. WOW! I thought for sure I would get more opposition than that. But, ...

HIGH ANXIETY | "We are the Few, the Proud, the Appalled at Everyone Else."

We are the Few, the Proud, the Appalled at Everyone Else. Getting to Know Me. Here’s the Dish. Rodents 1, Plants 0. May 20, 2014. I immediately suspected the dogs but, to my knowledge, they can’t climb onto the table. I’ve seen some other mysterious digging in my planters but not to this extent. I finally decided it had to be squirrels. And why would they dig in my flowerpots? I went online and there is a plethora of information on how to deter squirrels. Apparently grey squirrels are the culprits. She d...
