Boulevard Place Food Pantry. The St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. At Boulevard Place and 42nd Street - just blocks from Butler's campus - is a collective effort of five local Catholic parishes (St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Joan of Arc, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Christ the King, and St. Luke). Students from the Butler Catholic Community staff the food pantry one Saturday morning a month as part of our commitment to serving the local comunity. Check out our article in The Butler Collegian. If you are interested in serving as a liturgical minister please contact the Director of Campus Ministry. Liturgical Ministry schedules are made at the beginning of each semester after new ministers have received training. Altar Servers are part of a long-standing tradition in the Church. They serve at the altar and help the priest. Lectors proclaim the Word of God clearly and understandably so that all who hear may respond. Eucharistic Ministers assist the priest in distributing Holy Communion at Mass.
