There are no perfect candidates, and it’s a political reality that this country is not yet ready to elect someone who isn’t (or doesn’t at least pretend to be) a Christian as president. He seems sincere about it, and what matters is how his religiosity translates into policy. I don’t see any red flags on that count yet. I really like his “Defending Fathers” line.
