STA 370: Blog Prompt 24
http://cassierose.blogspot.com/2011/04/blog-prompt-24.html
Friday, April 1, 2011. B I'd like to photograph my high school for the final project. For me my high school is a symbol of an important time in my life, a time that I developed ideas of how to see the world and "live in the real world." Although it needs to be developed further, my idea would be to take photographs of my school through windows, from the view point of looking in. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). STA 370: Constructed Reality
http://cassierose.blogspot.com/2011/04/constructed-reality.html
Monday, April 4, 2011. April 5, 2011 at 6:49 AM. I love the lighting - I think your choice to make it not as harsh works in this setting, especially with the colors of her outfit. The framing is really nice and the angle works well. I like the idea of finding the weirdest clothes to put them all together, they sort of work! What might work well is if you added text to this image and make it into an advertisement! April 5, 2011 at 6:49 AM. Construction: I think you also comment on what fashion is and isnt.

STA 370: January 2011

Sunday, January 30, 2011. UNKNOWN PHOTOGRAPHER (AMERICAN). Untitled, z. 1900-10. I was drawn to this photograph because often times when I think of portraits I think of human subjects. So for me, this photograph brought about a new outlook on what a portrait can be. I do not think that the photographer was concerned about the lighting and background. I think it could have been taken so that the dog does not blend in with the background. Since there are different intentions there is also a difference in t...

STA 370: Seven Artists
http://cassierose.blogspot.com/2011/04/seven-artists.html
Saturday, April 9, 2011. The seven artists I would've chosen for the show would be:. I thought this work stood out because of how picturesque they were. The figure looked as though she was in a painting, not a photograph. Sumption's use of color captured my attention. In some of the photographs it created an abstract object. (Beach photograph with the neon light pole). I liked that this artists seemed to have a consistent theme of innocence/life. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Take a look at this.

Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Works in Progress Critique. April 12, 2011 at 7:36 AM. I will critique this post. April 12, 2011 at 7:41 AM. My favorites are the first three, with the kid in costume. They all have great composition, and I think they would make a nice series. I also like the button flowers, but I think it could be cropped a little closer. The final photo looks really cool, but when I click to see the larger image, it looks a little out of focus. April 14, 2011 at 7:22 AM. View my complete profile.

STA 370: Final Project
http://cassierose.blogspot.com/2011/04/final-project.html
Saturday, April 30, 2011. My idea for these final images was to revisit my high school. The lighting was really important because it allowed me to take clear reflections through windows around the school. I also tried to be aware of the framing while taking the photographs so that the focus was on me and the school. For the photographs with my reflection, I also tried to make an in camera collage.
