Friday, 3 February 2012. January - you start the year off fine, February - you're my little valentine. Well hello there, long time it's been since I last wittered on. But it has been busy. Um. (not in any particular order). I got engaged, I started university, there was Christmas thrown in, work and I got engaged! Friday, 27 May 2011. It's Friday and that means Friday art class! My aim is to be able 'draw what I see' again - still love doing the abstract crazy stuff - but I really want to draw an object that actually looks like the object, a teabag looking like a teabag, for example. Wednesday, 27 June 2012. Instant coffee finished = empty jar. Stick on a scattering of star stickers (got mine from the local WHS - a good number for your money). Spray a thin layer of gold paint over the jar (follow the instructions on the can - please make sure you are in a well ventilated area outside and definitely newspaper down - I learnt from mistakes - ooooops). Shortly after last year’s Tour de Yorkshire I happened across The Rider by Tim Krabbe. A great little book, no wider than a racing wheel, in which Krabbe describes his own participation in the Tour de Mont Aigoual – a race of 138Km which he covers in almost as many pages.
