By managing loads so that they are not all on at the same time, Bon Homme Yankton Electric Cooperative is able to reduce wholesale power purchases, thus saving money and resources. If you have a heat pump or air conditioner under the load control system, where your air conditioning is turned off for short periods of time during our peak load, you may be eligible to receive a $.02 per kwh credit for the energy used to cool your home. About Bon Homme Yankton Electric Association, Inc. Bon Homme Yankton Electric was incorporated in 1945 and converted to a cooperative organization in 1947. The first cooperative member received power on November 8, 1948. Today, Bon Homme Yankton Electric serves the town of Tabor as well as rural members in Bon Homme and Yankton Counties in southeast South Dakota. Total Investment in Lines and Equipment.
