And you may ask yourself...

And you may ask yourself. How did I get here? It's still April, innit? Apr 26th, 2009 at 10:46 PM. I was introduced to David Wagoner, and this poem, by a lover during my Freshman year in college. I've liked it ever since, for a number of reasons, and it's been on my mind of late. Beauty and the Beast. Men wept when they saw her breasts, squinted with pain. At her clear profile, boggled at her knees,. Turned slack-jawed at her rear-view walking away,. And every available inch of her hair and skin. And tra...

Another favorite poem - And you may ask yourself...

http://byronium.livejournal.com/50548.html

And you may ask yourself. How did I get here? Apr 23rd, 2009 at 7:56 AM. This is the second poem that I ever memorized and read in front of a group of people (the first was by Shel Silverstein). I reprised it by reading it for people at a party a couple of years ago. It's still one of my favorites. May have killed the cat; more likely. The cat was just unlucky, or else curious. To see what death was like, having no cause. To go on licking paws, or fathering. Litter on litter of kittens, predictably.

Apparently April is Poetry Month - And you may ask yourself...

http://byronium.livejournal.com/50364.html

And you may ask yourself. How did I get here? Apparently April is Poetry Month. Apr 10th, 2009 at 4:40 PM. I heard this on NPR's Fresh Air a few days ago, and it caught my ear (and spirit):. Thousand Kisses Deep (Excerpt). You came to me this morning. And you handled me like meat. You'd have to be a man to know. How good that feels, how sweet. My mirror twin, my next of kin. I'd know you in my sleep. And who but you would take me in. A thousand kisses deep. I loved you when you opened. I could live on the.

Sweatin' to the Dada - And you may ask yourself...

http://byronium.livejournal.com/46694.html

And you may ask yourself. How did I get here? Sweatin' to the Dada. Jun 6th, 2007 at 10:29 PM. Tonight, while working out, I started recasting a Nerdcore rap song in Elizabethan verse. I'm not sure what this means. Low blood sugar, perhaps. 2 comments Leave a comment. Jun 7th, 2007 08:54 am (UTC). Are you going to share? Jun 9th, 2007 05:24 am (UTC). I don't recall precisely, but I think it went a little something like:. Knowest thou not that in these very passages. Make of thine tender bones a meal?

White knuckle drive - Patti

http://whipartist.livejournal.com/822977.html

White knuckle drive - Patti. June 21st, 2013. Last night I drove home from San Diego, leaving around 3 pm, stopping in Irvine for a few hours, and then arriving home at around 4:15 am Most of the drive was peaceful and pleasant, but the last hour involved multiple calls to 911. His speed was erratic- he'd slow down to about 50mph, then speed up to 80, then drop down to 65. I maintained hope that he'd get pulled over, but no dice. We continued into Oakland. He was in the far left lane at the 9...I googled...

Change you can count on - Jonwa

http://jonwa.livejournal.com/174354.html

Change you can count on - Jonwa. Change you can count on. Nov 11th, 2009 07:14 am. Why is it so many people in America can't count change? More interesting to me is why so many of those people don't seem to care that they can't add change correctly. I remember workbooks back in first or second grade, the ones with cartoon drawings of nickels and dimes. So many adults would fail those lessons. How many of what? There is a difference between 50 US dollars, and 50 Lyra? 19 US dollars and 50 US cents. 50 doe...

One man, a million thoughts. Thursday, June 28, 2007. I know it's been several weeks since adding a post. I have been working on some new art pieces for clients. I hope to have a few new post in the coming weeks. Thursday, June 7, 2007. Why are we afraid to let people in? For each individual it could mean a different answer when it comes to why we are afraid of allowing others into our life. Fear of being truly happy. Fear of not measuring up. Fear of repeating prior mistakes. Monday, June 4, 2007. This ...
