Stories of life, missions and my cross-cultural family: junio 2012
http://justjencabezon.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Stories of life, missions and my cross-cultural family. Domingo, 3 de junio de 2012. I have no idea if most missionary moms have the same doubts that I do. I wonder how the realities of missionary life will affect my kids. I wonder what the future brings for them. I worry about their health, about their language learning, and about their future education. I worry about the risks of modern life, about traveling on boats and with crazy bus drivers. So, what makes it all worth it, for both us and the kids w...

Stories of life, missions and my cross-cultural family: enero 2012
http://justjencabezon.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Stories of life, missions and my cross-cultural family. Domingo, 29 de enero de 2012. Can you be half Panamanian? I get this comment a lot: "Your daughter's are half Panamanian, half American". I have to admit, that declaration rubs me the wrong way. My first question is, which half? How can they be half of something they are completely? And what about American? Not half and half. Just wonderfully who they are supposed to be. Publicado por Alex Cabezon. Enviar por correo electrónico. And my litte Rose.

Stories of life, missions and my cross-cultural family: Handling Criticism
http://justjencabezon.blogspot.com/2014/02/handling-criticism.html
Stories of life, missions and my cross-cultural family. Jueves, 6 de febrero de 2014. Sometimes this is my worst enemy. My own doubts I can shush, but the critical words of others are hard to quiet. As a missionary, I often feel like I have a bulls eye painted on me. "Please, criticize me! Tell me all that I am doing wrong! Some come as suggestions, "Wouldn't it be much more effective if you did it this way? On days like this part of me just wants to say, "It's not worth it! Then the Bible class ends up ...

http://justjencabezon.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Stories of life, missions and my cross-cultural family. Miércoles, 28 de diciembre de 2011. Changing of the Seasons. It's December in Panama. Outside, it's raining. A light, soft rain that I am pretending is snow as I watch our Christmas tree lights. It's been raining for a week straight, day and night. As Christmas comes closer, we are waiting for dry season to start. While in the northern parts winter is officially beginning, our "summer" is on the way. Today it is raining, but tomorrow it may stop.

Mountains Move: It’s ok to be angry with Jesus
http://mountainsmove.blogspot.com/2010/05/its-ok-to-be-angry-with-jesus.html
Saturday, May 15, 2010. It’s ok to be angry with Jesus. Today I learned yet a new lesson and a new level in my faith. It’s ok to be angry with Jesus. There are a gazillion verses in the bible to help us through our anger. God knows it will be there. I think the most important thing we can do when we are angry with God… is tell Him. Mastering it… well that’s another challenge entirely. Saturday, May 15, 2010. View my complete profile. Get the Praying for Lydia button:. Blogs that Inspire Me.
