Monday, September 22, 2014. The good news is that we finally had some measurable rain: the trees burst forth with new growth; the pasture greened up again; the temperature went down to tolerable numbers; burn bans were taken down; everyone breathed a sigh of relief and enjoyed the lushness brought on by the moisture-. Well, for one thing, thank you, God, for doctors who figured out the surgery in the first place that allows me to keep my sight. I have always heard that the question is not. You get cataracts, but. But since I was such a good patient, I was rewarded with a meal at the Outback after each surgery, even with that lovely hair and stylish outfit. Not a bad deal, I must say. Just the who...

http://brightlightsmuleshoe.blogspot.com/2015/05/welcome-to-lifetree-cafe.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. Welcome to Lifetree Cafe. Lifetree Cafe meets in our transformed parlor on the north side of the building. You can enter by the back door facing the back parking lot or the front door on the north and people will be there to steer you in the right direction. I think the front door by the sanctuary may also be open, but I always come in the back door, so I’ll admit, I am not sure! Dress is casual, come as your are; the important thing is to be there, not to worry about a dress code.

Wednesday, November 27, 2013. And trudging outside for snow pictures. This snow was no different, plus these two dogs just insisted on getting out in it to make yellow snow, to play, and to hunt for that elusive jackrabbit who teases them unmercifully. So I thought I should share some of those pictures with you. Everything was appropriately dusted with light snow and sleet, as was our carved bear. 160; And then Sunday morning we woke up to a world of white. Porche had little trouble navigating in the sn...

Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Ingrid’s Custom Hand Woven, Inc. If you are in the area of the Texas Hill Country, I suggest you take a little side trip to Paint Rock to see what I fear is a dying art once done by hand-taking fleece, cording and spinning it into yarn, and weaving the yarn into rugs. Beautiful, one of a kind rugs. The way it used to be done before factories took over. And don’t be surprised when you, too, come home with a rug you didn’t know you couldn’t live without. Really. The big night came,...
