Malabrigo Mittens | Caffeinated Knitter
https://caffeinatedknitter.wordpress.com/intarsia-mittens-malabrigo-version
Here’s my pattern for the second pair of embellished intarsia mittens that I knit with Malabrigo. Don’t be alarmed by the name; there is nothing scary about intarsia! March 1, 2008–I made some corrections, so hopefully you can actually knit these now! To find out how to knit intarsia in the round, here. Is a tutorial. Otherwise, head down to your LYS or knitting group and ask somebody how. 1 skein Malabrigo worsted in a main color and small amounts of 2 contrasting colors. Row 4: Turn, YO, slip marker, p...

Archive for September, 2008. If so, you knitters had better stay away! Last week Goozle and I went to the Scarves for Cancer Patients kick-off at Yellow Dog. Goozle was very good. He didn’t knit, but he played with his cars, and Dixie even set up a dvd player for him in her office. By the time we got home, he was spent. I think I screwed up the pattern. I also started the hat on the left and my cancer patient scarf on the right. Both are my own concoctions. Cookies and drinks from Acoustic. I love this t...

No More Humdrum Mittens Swap 3. September 5, 2008 at 9:03 am. I’ve joined the swap again, because I love knitting mittens! How long have you been knitting and how did you learn? About 3 years–Cindi at Yellow Dog taught me. Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? Advanced (more like fearless). What are your favorite colors? Reds, greens, blues–I don’t really dislike any colors. Do you like Latvian type patterns? If so, what are your favorite patterns? 2 kids, no pets.
Seriously? | Caffeinated Knitter

June 27, 2008 at 6:50 am. I followed a Ripon Ambulance (not an emergency) around the back roads since I figured they would be going to Ripon. I could find my way from there, but in Beaver Dam, the downtown flooded. There was a map on how to get to the church, but it wasn’t very helpful since all the streets were closed. We caught the end, which is the important part anyway. Girly, of course, had her own agenda:. She had a lot of fun dancing, and she started yelling “Denz! 8221; when we left. You are comm...

This is my little dirty secret. Category Archives: For Inspiration! Granny Square to Wear – or the world’s easiest top. April 10, 2013. In between the dreadful work overload of the past few days, I managed to crochet this little delight. Yes, CROCHET. I’ve been so busy learning how to knit that I had “forgotten” that I’m actually much better (and quicker) at crocheting. This particularly pattern is Amanda Tipton’s take on a “Granny Square to Wear”. And what a great concept it is! March 1, 2013. Using US ...

You all did an AMAZING job with the scavenger hunt! I know it was a difficult one but it was fun, wasn't it? The only question that some of you gave some VERY good guesses but didn't get right was bonus question number one "Find the Tourist that got Sharon back into knitting" The answer was: Frances. Winners of the scavenger hunt!

Knit's About Time!: August 2008
http://knitsabouttime.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 19, 2008. And I had a long girls' weekend in Portland this weekend. We got home late last night, exhausted and laden with yarn! If it weren't for our husbands and my kids, I am sure we would have stayed forever and refused to come back to Houston. We had an amazing time, full of laughs, great wine and gorgeous trips out of the city. We also had fantastic company. On Friday, we got to meet and spend time with Jen, the amazing woman behind our favorite yarn-pusher, Woolgirl.
Knit's About Time!: December 2007

Monday, December 24, 2007. Remind me next year that I MUST either (1) start earlier on my holiday knitting, or (2) take on fewer things! The past two or three weeks I have been working in a sweatshop! This year I made the two chevrons, one for my MIL (hers went out almost 2 weeks ago in the mail) and one for my mom (hers was finished yesterday), socks for my mom (finished today! There is no way anyone could mistake the two for a "pair" of socks. Bring on sock number THREE! Sunday, December 16, 2007.

She's more than a douche, she's a spazoid douchecanoe that almost got her ass beaten last night. Hell no, that's "play with the cat time". Wednesday, April 25, 2012.

August 27, 2012. Well… all things eventually come to an end and this blog is at an end too. Thank you to everyone who has read it and commented. I’ve thought a lot about whether to keep it open or not, but it was primarily created for my time in Japan. Since my time in Japan is over I think it’s come full circle. It’s time for me to close that chapter of my life and step into the next. July 17, 2012. We went to visit Kanazawa. It’s across the other side of Japan. Here’s some photos! I vow to use this.
