Sunday, September 28, 2008. Plotting and planning . I wouldn't be me unless I was planning some kind of trip. I'm actually planning two (possibly a couple of weeks in wintery UK in Jan/Feb) but the big one is so-called because of the CEO Award. I won earlier in the year, which will go some way to paying for this extravaganza of air travel. To hell with my carbon footprint. I had planned on having my 40th in New York but it's been accelerated due to my good fortune! But I think I'm ready :-). Bring it on .

Saturday, September 06, 2008. And the winner of the CEO's Award is. Each August ninemsn holds a company kick off to outline goals for the financial year ahead. It's usually an off-site event to celebrate our successes and aims and is huge fun. There are also a series of reward and recognition awards, the highlight being the CEO's Award which by some fluke, I was awarded this year. Hmmmm, time to consult the Lonely Planet guides :-). Saturday, September 30, 2006. Fine dining in the Harbour City. I'm still struggling to get back into the swing of Australian life, but nothing is more of a leveller than being faced with the icons of your chosen homeland, while eating arguably the best food the city has to offer. Sonia turned 29 this weekend, and by way of celebration, a few of us had lunch at aquadining. At Milsons Point in Sydney. Nestled above a swimming pool and a fun fair, we were met with this sign as we arrived. Back in the house.

Lovely positive news from Spain - I ve been asked to be Charlotte s Godmother and co-legal guardian should anything happen to Jen and Ruick (morbid maybe, but after the fortnight we ve just had its good to plan ahead.). I am thrilled and very honoured. Jen and Charlotte are back in Spain to help Dad and I sort through Mum s belongings etc. My Aunt from Palermo (Dad s sister) is arriving on Sunday for a few days so that will be a happy distraction for us all.
