Vajont Territories, 2013. In one hour, it became a desert’, people said. The current day Vajont area was created from a tabula rasa which has been undergoing a slow readjustment over the last 50 years, during which time humans have re-appropriated the desert they induced. Traces of this tabula rasa are still recognisable in the stratification, topography and inconsistencies of the area. The project is realised in collaboration with CALAMITA/À. The wall of water pushed an air pocket before it.

I was born on the 8th 8 ’88 in Italy. Actually I’m based in Amsterdam, but I’m often in Italy. I’ve also spent couple of years between France and Switzerland. She graduated in Sustainable Architecture at IUAV University – Venice in 2013 with a thesis about the knowledge’s construction made using photography in urban planning. The research was based on a specific site in the northern suburbs of Paris. That studies the contemporary Vajont and the topic of the catastrophe. ALT 1000 ,. La Biennale di Venezia.
