Saturday, June 9, 2012. Joshua, at 6 months you:. Are still a great sleeper! 10-11 hours at night, and 3 naps during the day). Like to sleep in this wearable blanket. (below). Like to look at books and try to grab all of the pictures. This is Eli "reading" to Joshua.). Still smile a lot! Have a favorite toy, this green frog. Have gotten really good at rolling from tummy to back. Still hate being on your tummy, so you don't roll from your back onto your tummy unless it's absolutely necessary or accidental.

Monday, November 12, 2012. Paul had been promising Eli and Micah a backyard camp out for a while. One day, they asked Paul, "When? So, they put it on the calendar- the first Friday night after Cross Country season ended. Eli, Micah and Paul worked together to make a countdown chain. Paul even had the boys cut out their own links! They counted down for a long time, but the day finally came! First, they set up their tent. They had dinner outside, too. They got to experience S'mores for the first time!

Monday, February 27, 2012. For Valentine's Day, I decided to make an all heart-shaped dinner. It was so fun seeing Eli's and Micah's faces when they saw their plates! We had so much rain this February! After our drought last year, we really appreciate the rain, but Eli and Micah quickly run out of constructive ideas for playing indoors. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. In addition to Spring Break, we have had a fun-filled March! Here are a few of the highlights. We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with "Schlopp" (granola and yogurt with a blackberry on top) and "Pink Ink" (pureed blackberries layered with a strawberry smoothie). Eli and Micah love to do everything with their dad- even mowing! At least we got to spend some time with our good friends! Joshua has been rolling from his back to side in order to reach toys. Ginger still loves Joshua.

Monday, October 22, 2012. Kristy's "baby" brother got married the last weekend of September. We made a "quick" trip to Kansas and back in four days.with three kids. It was a busy weekend, but we had a great time and are so excited to welcome Aunt Roxy to the family! Our first stop was a whopping 90 minutes from home (tells you the pace we were able to travel with the boys). We had never explored the Sam Houston statue before, so it was a fun experience for all of us. Behind the statue, we found Sam's face.

You began to show a preference for Daddy. You splashed in the ocean. Joshua, you are growing so quickly! You are very curious and always exploring something new. Monday, January 23, 2012. Last Sunday, January 15, we had the opportunity to baptize Joshua at church. Grandpa Cheney has baptized all of the grandchildren so far, so we were honored that he agreed to baptize Joshua as well! Then, Pastor Tim prayed for Joshua, our family, and Joshua's Godparents.
