Thursday, April 30, 2009. Joslynn had a nice - quiet birthday this year. We (I) decided not to have any friends over. I figured our house would be full enough for the baptism, we didn't need to do it two weekends in a row. She was a little disappointed, but decided it would be OK. I made her a cake to take to school on the 23rd,. When grandma and grandpa came on Sunday, there were more gifts, hugs and kisses, and a pinata to break! Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Monday, March 23, 2009. Too good to be true. I knew I was getting overly excited about spring! This is what we came home to Sunday after church. Notice the unfilled water barrel blowing near the work truck. Hope we don't need emergency water soon! Anyway, the snow was horizontal, and you'd better hold on to your hat. Monday, December 21, 2009. Pre Christmas - goodies! We've been busy making cinnamon rolls - my tradition. I give them to all our friends. Joslynn brought home several cookbooks from the Library and thinks we need to try it all! Layce needed a project too, she chose chocolate chip cookies! Thank you for simpleness! Riley stayed busy with all his new "stuff" there were only a couple breakdowns cuz - "no one will play with me - I need a brother". I keep waiting for this to pass . . . Maybe in the eternities!

Saturday, January 31, 2009. Layce lost her first tooth this week. She's been nursing it for almost a month now. The kids at school would chant "Pull that tooth" for the last week at lunch. Dad finally threatened to yank it, and she pulled it right out. So, we'll see what the toothfairy brings! Thanks Grandma Mortensen for the wonderful toys for Christmas! Joslynn's Bball season started a couple weeks ago and will go until the 21st of Feb. She loves to play - or stand on the court! Sunday, January 18, 2009.

Thursday, June 18, 2009. There's a dirt pond out behind the house. It has become the "summer spot". The kids have been really excited about swimming in it. They wanted to go in January! Earlier this spring, they put in a sealer so it would hold water better. Thanks to the rain it's been filling up rather nicely. The owners came last weekend and stocked it with fish. Sunday, August 23, 2009. We finally made it to a rodeo this year. We missed the first two of the season, and came back just in time for the French Glen rodeo - forgot the camera! The kids did well, the horse was lazy, and the kids ended up riding someone elses' horse. Oh how I wish we could find some cheap horses that know the patterns! Two weeks later was the Kelley Arena Rodeo, and with more practice, the kids and the horse got along pretty well. Looking good on the poles! OOPS - To the inside! The kid...

Monday, December 21, 2009. Riley's 5 - Does school start tomorrow? Riley had a really great birthday today. He's so glad to be 5, and he's absolutely sure he'll go to school in January. Boy are we in for a break down! He played all day with his new toys - he loved them all! It was so nice he got some new clothes from Grandma. They came FED EX about 11:00 - he swore he wasn't getting dressed until he got new birthday clothes! New toys - first thing - before Dad Left for work. Here are the pictures!

Tuesday, December 29, 2009. We had a wonderful Christmas! We left Christmas Eve day and went to Clint's Dad's in TwinFalls. We enjoyed the reason for the season on Christmas Eve. We had a birthday party for Jesus which included a cake and reasons to be thankful. I got to go to a 10:00 worship service with Kathy, Dorothy, and the girls - and Cameron (he's such a sport). We sang Christmas hymns and had a story. I love feeling the Christmas Spirit! Joslynn got the pocket knife she wanted - and a camera.

Friday, October 30, 2009. Here's our halloween - We go to the neighboring school and trick or treat around the "town". Afterwards they meet at the gym to play games and potluck. I left my camera in the bus during the games. Joslynn - Geisha Girl. Layce - "Queen" Violet. Riley - Spiderman . . . or . . . .Batman. . . Counting the stash - -.
