Striving Towards Servanthood: grandparent journal
http://dlcollins.blogspot.com/2009/04/grandparent-journal.html
Monday, April 27, 2009. A couple weeks ago Dan was talking to an older couple at our church. They were telling Dan about a book of questions their grandkids sent them to fill out about their lives and return to them. They thought this was a great idea and so did Dan and I. What a neat way to record and remember memories from our parent's or grandparent's lives that we may not have otherwise known about. I would LOVE it if you could send me the grandparent file you made! That's a neat idea! This is such a...

Striving Towards Servanthood: No-Knead English Muffin Bread
http://dlcollins.blogspot.com/2009/10/no-knead-english-muffin-bread.html
Tuesday, October 20, 2009. No-Knead English Muffin Bread. If you like English muffins, and you are scared of the kneading part of making bread, this recipe is for you! I've made this twice now and it's SO easy, and SO yummy. You eat it toasted. We love how it gets so crispy when you toast it, just like English Muffins. Try it out! 6 cups flour (I used 2 cups brown and 4 cups all-purpose). 2 packages active dry yeast (or 4.5 tsp). 1/4 tsp baking soda. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). No-Knead English M...

Striving Towards Servanthood: June 2012
http://dlcollins.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 23, 2012. Curious about the title? Hahathe first time I heard it I was thinking the same thing I'm sure you're thinking.bathroom talk. Well I guess it does have to do with the bathroom but not the toilet part. It's the term for "no shampoo". My friend told me about it a few weeks ago and since then I've been pondering whether it was a good idea or not. You can read the specifics on the Simple Mom blog here. Today I got brave and tried it, and it was a lot better than I imagined! I let my h...

Striving Towards Servanthood: November 2012
http://dlcollins.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 18, 2012. Something I can do. Once again, here I am.posting again finally 6 months later. And today's post isn't even about me! I just came across something really cool on somebody else's Pinterest board, and it almost seems too good to be true. It's a way that you and I can SO EASILY help artisans in Uganda by supporting their businesses. Even if you can't buy anything, even just spreading the word helps them. Perfect for Christmas gifts I'd say! From Light Gives Heat. Links to this post.
