Nespers in Action: Many questions, few answers
http://nespers.blogspot.com/2009/01/many-questions-few-answers.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Many questions, few answers. So I've been thinking lately- as I'm sure most of you have- about money and possessions. I know it's not a popular topic and actually quite taboo in most cases, however, with all this economy talk it's caused me to really start thinking. Why are there so many people- Christians included- who still have cars, houses, and jobs that are freaking out about tomorrow? I mean, Matthew 6: 33. Amen to all that, Sara. And the photo made me laugh. :P.

http://nespers.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 22, 2008. The weekend after Omaha, our really good family friend, Frank, got married after having been widowed 5 years ago. It was pretty cool to see how happy he is again. That's Frank in the middle, my dad is on the left, and their friend of 26 years, Jim, on the right. Frank's son Keith, my bro Anthony, Jim's daughter Jaime, and me. I've known them all my entire life. Me in anticipation of that dude saying "3.2.1.go! Coming into the final homestretch. Only a few yards to go. The next qu...

Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but. The log that is in your own eye? 8221; (Matt 7:3 NASB). I know if you’ve been a Christian for longer than 24 hours you’ve already heard maybe 100 sermons on this passage right? I’d like to take a different angle with it in this devotional/exhortation…the angle of PRIDE. Ouch…I’ve already lost half of you right? 8221; Later I think how was I so blind to this log (as big as the one pictured)? It's that five letter P-word P R I D E. Independen...

For those of you that don't know this is Dano from Calvary Chapel Paso Robles. What he is holding there is the trophy for the Softball tournament we had between Calvary Chapels Atascadero, Paso Robles, Shoreline, and SLO. This year we did something a bit different, some would say unconventional, but I would say very close to a MAN's heart. Yes we had teaching (Bryan, Steve, and Steve did a great job! Yes we had worship (Tonye's band did a great job! And a lot of friendly competition, which we love as men!

Joel and Emily: Birth of the Uncool - Postmodernism in the church
http://joelnemily.blogspot.com/2009/03/is-this-what-church-is-coming-to.html
Thursday, March 5, 2009. Birth of the Uncool - Postmodernism in the church. If I walk away from Him, and please pray that I never do, I will walk away for social reasons, identity reasons, deep emotional reasons, the same reasons that any of us do anything. Donald Miller, Blue Like Jazz. From the chapter titled, "The Birth of Cool". I believe Miller had good intentions when writing his book, but is this really the kind of faith that you desire to have- or desire anyone else to have? If, "[no one] knows a...
