Sunday, June 27, 2010. Hiking the Manitou Incline. We made a spur-or-the-moment decision late yesterday to hike the Manitou Incline with our friends the Hansens. This is a straight shot that goes up over 2000 ft in about a mile distance. Up a bunch of railroad ties. It's about an average 40% grade. And a little over an hour later. here we are at the TOP! Here's a little video I took. But it's kinda hard to capture the steepness with pics or video. My butt and thighs hurt just from looking at this post.

Monday, September 7, 2009. What a great day celebrating labor. We learned a lesson from the last 3 day weekend and decided not to even attempt to drive with 90% of other Coloradans to the mountains. As we gather for our Christmas party in Birmingham, the missionaries go to New Street in the center of the city to sing Christmas carols. Its a wonderful way to share the Spirit of Christ at Christmas. The Elders and Sisters take every opportunity to talk to people, give out copies of the Book of Mormon, and pass along cards.
