HPV and Cancer in the News: What You Should Know | Cancer Survivor
http://www.cancer-survivor.ca/index.php/hpv-and-cancer-in-the-news
HPV and Cancer in the News: What You Should Know. October 21, 2016. Lately there’s been a lot of talk about HPV and cancer in the news and I’ve had a lot of people come up to me with questions about it. HPV stands for Human Papillomavirus. Long time: weeks, years, even a lifetime. Most people who do end up with HPV are able to fight it off without any symptoms. For those of us with compromised immune systems (due to stress, improper eating, lack of sleep, etc) it may result in cancer. Lastly, protect you...
Clinic Visits | Cancer Survivor
http://www.cancer-survivor.ca/index.php/clinic-visits
October 17, 2016. Along with all of the daily radiation treatments and in-home nurse visits, my busy schedule had to accommodate regular clinic visits as well. At first they occurred more than once a week, and then after treatment ended the time between visits was increased. It was important that every aspect of my health and other aspects of my well-being were monitored. You have to keep it dry in the shower. Next time: yet even more side effects, on the positive side! October 17, 2016 at 9:21 pm. HPV a...

Chemo session two: not as expected | Cancer Survivor
http://www.cancer-survivor.ca/index.php/chemo_session_two
Chemo session two: not as expected. August 12, 2016. Two weeks into my treatment schedule and it’s time for another chemotherapy session. Chemo session two, however, didn’t exactly go as expected. My husband and I know the routine from our first session. Just like the first time, the nurse eventually calls my number and we proceed to her little triage office. She weighs me, takes my blood pressure, asks some health related questions, and aside from some minor side effects and fatigue, I feel OK. The chem...

Fast Snacks With Two Ingredients. July 22, 2015 18. Do you ever get into a snack rut? Hey, even Snack Girl finds herself eating the same thing over and over again. I received an e-mail from Brendan, and thought I would try to help him out. Really enjoying your blog! As a man who craves a snack in the middle of the afternoon (I'm an elementary-school teacher here in Mass), would you consider soliciting ideas for 2 ingredient quick-snack combos? Apple slices and peanut butter. Cottage cheese and raisins.

Cheers to the hospital volunteers: I ♥ them! November 30, 2016. Bustling about the waiting areas and treatment areas were several kind-hearted souls.
