Once clearing was undertaken, new areas of a fern garden were discovered which had lain dormant for decades and so began the current restoration programme. This special event is held by the Teign Heritage Centire at the Museum on Monday 29th August from 10.30am - 4.00pm. The event will begin with a talk about the exploits of the Admiral, whose part was played by Robert Lyndsay in the Hornblower TV series. This will be followed by a toast to his victory on the museum terrace. Tickets available from the museum cost. Under 5s Spotter Guide.

Home to England’s highest manmade waterfall, Canonteign Falls is a magnificent example of a Victorian folly set in a magical natural paradise. The waterfalls themselves descend for over 70m making this one of the most breathtaking attractions in Devon and providing a wonderful day out for all the family. We are reopening next Wednesday, 21st March 2018. Looking forward to seeing all visitors soon. Great British Dog Walk.
