Cantina Vecchia Torre it’s honored and grateful, to be recipient of an award from, the largest officially recognized wine competition in the world AWC Vienna, which every time Is establishing the highest standards to honour the continuously raising quality requirements in the world wine. Today we are proud to communicate that la Cantina Vecchia Torre has won the Gold’14 recognition and a special award as the best national producer of the year 2014. Medaglia d'oro berlino 2016.

Classification: DOP LEVERANO ROSSO RISERVA (red). Production Area: Leverano (Le). Grape Varieties: 80% Negroamaro. Alcohol content: 14,00% vol. Soil: alluvial origin soil, mixed (sand, silt and clay), with calcareous zones. Yield: 7 tons of grapes per ha. Training method: Goblet and Cordon Spur. Density: 5000-6000 plants per ha. Ageing: 3 years or more depending on the harvest; it’s a red wine with high ageing potential. Color: bright ruby red. Bouquet: vibrant with hints of nicely ripe red berry fruit.

Classification : IGP - SALENTO - BIANCO FRIZZANTE (sparkling wine). Production Area: Leverano (Le). Grape Varieties: 60% Bombino. Alchool content: 11,50% vol. Soil: alluvial origin soil, sandy, clay and pebbly zones. Yield: 1 ton of grapes per Ha. Training method: Cordon spur. Vineyard density: 4500-5000 plants per ha. Vinification: Charmat method or tank fermentation. The base wine is fermented in large pressure-resistant stainless steel vats. Second fermentation in steel vats. Ageing: to drink young.

Soil: alluvial originating soil, mixed (sand, silt and clay) with calcareous zones. Yield: 1 ton of grapes per ha. Training method: Goblet and Cordon spur. Density : 4500-5000 plants per ha. Ageing: 3 years or more depending on the harvest; it’s a red wine with ageing potential. Color: bright ruby red with light garnet highlights.
