History of the Church in Canvey Island. Two celebrations were held by the Church of England in Canvey Island during 2010. On Friday 10th December 2010, the Island celebrated the 50th anniversary of the building of St Nicholas' Church and on November 5th 2010, the 100th anniversary of a church on the site of St Anne's Church.
