March 26th, 2015. Having made the long journey home and gotten a bit of rest, I’d like to offer a couple of final photos and thoughts on my Iditarod experience. First, it was amazing and wonderful! Alaska is a beautiful state. My eyes were filled with sights unlike anywhere else. A big, big thanks to everyone who made this trip special! Nome host family Nancy and Harvey Fiskeaux. May 4th, 2015. When I moved to Wilmington, I was determined to learn how to surf. The problem with growing up in Wisconsin, there is no ocean. I thought I would have no problem learning to surf because I had been snowboarding for years. After all how different can it be? My wife has told me I need goggles for the swim, but I have never owned a pair and thought that I would be fine. Well, she was right! April 6th, 2015. Everyday I wonder where the time goes. When I was growing up, and by that I mean until I had my first child 3 years ago, I always had time to do whatever I wanted when I wanted. Looking back, 1 child was easy compared to 2 children, a full time career, training for a triathlon. Getting ready to move, and preparing for an interview.
