Who made it happen. Last week was “Electricity week”, starting with Western Power connecting the house to the mains. This involved tapping into the live mains which runs along the far side of the field. The house is too far from the mains to do the whole run as single phase, so the first part is done as a 3-phase connection. The photo shows the connection from the mains supply to a 3-phase wire. Later in the week Caplor Energy. Micro inverters, held in place on Solion. March 30, 2016. Time for a bit of a...

Saturday, 24 December 2011. The making of Tilting at Windmills - interview. 24 August 2012 at 14:49. I like the title of your Blog. Quite literal. I started mine before I saw yours. Were having a lot of these windmills cropping up in Canada too. Im a biologist and am concerned they are having a negative impact by killing bats and birds. Progress! 16 November 2012 at 13:31. Sorry for massive delay in response - have been consumed by another, different project since the summer! Thanks for your comment!

Was a performance research project which sought to explore rural communities’ response to landscape change. Through recordings and interviews collected on a 100-mile walk between the wind farms that lie along the spine of mid-Wales, the resulting installation film intends to offer an embodied perspective - and space to reflect - on changing landscapes and lifestyle in a changing climate. Sunday, 15 August 2010. The sound of silent summer. What on earth is that crashing loss set against the relatively insignificant presence of wind turbines in an already changing landscape? 21 August 2010 at 11:06. I love your blog Jess. So much to engage with, and think about. Especially like the way you fuse contemporary polemics, classical literature, science and performance! Hope you make a few people think.
