Carbon Fiber Technology Cluster. ISGC 2017 International Symposium on Green Chemistry. One of the major challenges of the automotive market is the reduction of CO2 emission. This environmental challenge can be largely overcome by a weight saving. A saving of 30kg per vehicle actually provides a reduction of 3.5g of CO2 emission per km. RENAULT will provide a composite part demonstrator (leg B, top rail or partial floor) using renewable source nanostructured carbon fibers developed within CARBOPREC project.
