http://tuscanblog.blogspot.com/2008/05/ubd-in-action.html
Wednesday, May 7, 2008. I think it is great that you have the opportunity to put the lessons from class itno practice. That is afterall, why we are going to school! Do you think that you will use the UbD format when you plan this summer? May 8, 2008 at 12:57 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Http:/ carlyscurriculum.blogspot.com/. Thursday, March 6, 2008. To get the students to speak Italian, as much and as correctly as possible, in a natural setting with native speakers. So, what was better than organizing a trip to Italy with them? I am not sure, but, to me, it looks like a good step forward in this direction. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). tuscanblog: Novice teacher
http://tuscanblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/novice-teacher.html
Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Two days ago I was on duty in the hallway, next to the art classrooms, thinking about this assignment when a colleague from that department approached me and told me: “Michele, did you see the new art teacher? Providing him/her with a safe environment where he/she could feel encouraged to talk with the supervisor and the colleagues;. Showing him/her that he/she is surrounded by a learning community that cares;. Offering him/her emotional and professional support;. I think it...

tuscanblog: School systems overseas
http://tuscanblog.blogspot.com/2008/05/school-systems-overseas.html
Saturday, May 3, 2008. Many people involved in education talk about curriculum and professional development and often refer to workshops, seminars, in-services, after school activities, etc. I think one aspect of professional development that is often overlooked is studying the school systems of other countries. I was born and grew up in. When I was in my mid-thirties. I did (almost) all my studies in. And it took me a while to understand the American school system. In. May 6, 2008 at 5:14 AM.

Thursday, January 31, 2008. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Curriculum is a word that, at least in my department of foreign languages, often unleashes a lot of bored expressions, especially when connected with the word ‘meeting’. Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Hi, Ciao, it's Michele from Tuscany (actually, New Jersey, for now). Ready to start a new life as a blogger. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Http:/ carlyscurriculum.blogspot.com/. tuscanblog: Final reflection on curriculum and UbD
http://tuscanblog.blogspot.com/2008/05/final-reflection-on-curriculum-and-ubd.html
Thursday, May 8, 2008. Final reflection on curriculum and UbD. I like the idea of backward design. The readings and the hours spent in class helped me understand more and more how much this new concept can change the way teachers can teach in a very effective and successful way. If there is one question left unanswered in this course is this: Would it be possible to see a veteran teacher (I mean, veteran at using the UbD approach successfully) in action? tuscanblog: enduring understandings
http://tuscanblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/enduring-understandings.html
Thursday, February 21, 2008. I think it is wonderful that you are thinking about how the art of teaching is changing. As with anything, things that worked 20 years ago do not always work nowadays and there are so many new up in coming and innovative ideas that can be brought into the classroom to make it better than before. The openness and willingness to changing things for the better makes for a great teacher. February 23, 2008 at 5:24 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Sunday, April 20, 2008. Michele Cacciottolo, Luis Fernandes, Andrew J. Wells). Overarching summary statement about the content area. Students need to know that mathematics are integral to the development of all cultures, that mathematics are used by most adults in their daily lives, and that today’s technology both requires mathematics and aids in its understanding. Curriculum must be developed so that students are active in hands-on problem solving and have access to technology. Students must know that ...
