Sunday, June 12, 2011. Memorable Memorial trip to California. On our way out, we decided to take a detour through Lake Tahoe. Neither Jess nor I had been there before, and it really isn't too far out of the way. Plus, we needed a place to break in our new baby carrier. We chose to hike to Cascade Falls. In one corner, weighing in at a stalwart 20 lbs, wearing red, white, and black stripes, we have the master of disaster, the crawling kid, the bashful baby, Logan. Sunday, March 11, 2012. Logan learns his full name. Logan has been learning a lot of words lately. He repeats just about everything I say. It occurred to me today, that with all the words he has been learning, his middle and last names were not on the list. So we started to teach him his name on the way to church. Sunday, July 31, 2011. Logan's Day with Dad. This last Friday, Jess had girl's camp. I took the day off from work to spend with Logan. It was a great day for both of us. After the hike, we went out for lunch at Cafe Rio, then had some secret birthday shopping to do for Jess. Thursday, February 4, 2010. Chair Shopping in Sweden. And thus, our quest began. We thought maybe we could get a giant bean bag type chair. After stopping at one store we quickly realized this was not the cost effective solution we were hoping for. So next, we went to the place any price conscious furniture shopper would go: Sweden by way of IKEA. Is this even a chair? Not the comfort I was hoping for. Is that a back rest? Or a hand rest? The hole would definitely keep snacks from building up.

Sunday, October 14, 2012. Jess recently created this invitation for Alayna's birthday party. I thought it very blog worthy. Enjoy! It will be our little “Layna Bug’s” first birthday. It is hard to believe that we brought home this little bundle just one year ago. Having her in the family has come with a few adjustments to some people. Although it has taken time, Logan has learned to love his little sister. And she has learned to love him right back. They have even managed to share a few laughs together.
