Our circa 1865 Missouri Farmhouse. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had the dream of owning an old farmhouse. My Grandparents lived in an old farmhouse in Arkansas and to me it was simply heaven. It always smelled of homemade pies and fresh burning wood. After 10 months of rehab during one of the worst Missouri Winters on record, we were able to move into our farmhouse on May 15, 2010. To this day, I simply know my Dear Mama had a hand in finding our old treasure and helping to heal my brok...

rosespetitemaison: August 2011
http://rosespetitemaison.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Been too busy to blog lately, but I wanted to show you the cute old baskets I found over the weekend. I went to a great little tag sale on Sunday and found these there. They were calling my name so I had to buy them. Not sure yet how or where I will be using them, but I'm sure I will think of something. I also picked up a great chair that I'm going to redo as soon as I get the time. Have a great week! Links to this post. Tuesday, August 16, 2011. Guest Blogger from Arcadian Home.

Magazine pictures or articles. March 27, 2016. A few months back, I was asked to participate in this book by Anne Freund and Cynthia Schaffer. It is now out and ready for sale here. 0160;and I think on Amazon, too. It looks like it is going to be a beauty. These pics are just lovely, and Im impressed by the list of artists who have contributed. I feel so lucky to have been included with artists I admire. rosespetitemaison: February 2011
http://rosespetitemaison.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 18, 2011. For the last two days I have been cleaning, sorting and throwing away. I couldn't make another crown until this studio was reorganized. How do we get so many supplies, pieces of paper, ribbon and doodads? Three giant trash bags later, I am happy to say I can start working again. Every drawer, shelf, cupboard, every nook and cranny have been dealt with. It's one of those projects we tend to put off but when it's finished we are so glad that we did it. Enjoy whatever you do.

rosespetitemaison: February 2012
http://rosespetitemaison.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 21, 2012. The new/old mantel is finally in place behind our bed. It took some work, more than expected of course. I cleaned it with warm water and tsp. Then I used this wax called Fiddes and Sons. You put it on with a cloth let dry then buff. It sure made a difference, it brought out the color of the paint and made it a bit shiney! The wax was about $16 and the brackets a few dollars. Have a wonderful week, and I hope to be posting some new finds soon. Links to this post. Let us start w...

http://rosespetitemaison.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Hope you had a fantastic Labor Day weekend! Saturday was garage sale day. I always have a fun time treasure hunting with my daughter on Saturday mornings. This week, I found this cool antique mirror for only $2. Could not believe it, as I have paid much more in the past for these kinds of mirrors. I had the perfect spot to hang it where it reflects my little chandelier and my DREAM sign which hangs over my bed. Well, it's back to my Halloween art. Talk again soon,. Carol Spins...

rosespetitemaison: French Flea Market Style Guest Post
http://rosespetitemaison.blogspot.com/2011/12/french-flea-market-style-guest-post.html
Tuesday, December 13, 2011. French Flea Market Style Guest Post. French flea market style is a lot like French style in general; it's effortless, a little hodgepodge-y, it's daring, but not too daring and it's always so darn chic! At any flea market, in France or in your hometown, you're sure to find that one eclectic velvet wingback chair, vintage poster or beveled mirror that's perfect in its vintage, well-worn glory. The flea market look is practically overflowing with decorating ideas. French fashion...

My dear friend Jen Smith took this photo of the OK Allen Bridge in 2011 at the point when the “season” of winter first begin in my life.
