Getting Ready | Our adoption Journey
https://gregandjoannamiller.wordpress.com/2010/04/15/getting-ready
Life seems to be full motion right now! It’s a good thing, I am enjoying this getting ready time! We have been so blessed by this whole process and it has hardly begun. I was invited to go to the doctor with our birth mother last week. The baby seems to be doing well! I got to hear the heart beat, which was awesome! Would you pray with us? That God would see her through and that this baby could take its first breath in safety! April 15, 2010. 2 responses to “Getting Ready”. April 15th, 2010 at 13:53.

It’s a YES!!!!!!!!!!!! | Our adoption Journey
https://gregandjoannamiller.wordpress.com/2010/04/02/its-a-yes
It’s a YES! Well …. where to start. We found out last night at 9pm that the birth mother had called and selected us to be the adoptive family! We had been sitting and waiting all day to hear so this was wonderful news to end the day and a long time of waiting. The excitement in this house is incredible and we can hardly wait for May 8th to come! The birth mother was a very nice lady and we really enjoyed getting to know her better. This opportunity was amazing and we praise God for bringing us here.

She is finally here! This picture is of our social worker Terri. She made this all possible! I figured most of you would want pictures before you could concentrate on my writing. Where to start? All I can say is we are so blessed and just want to give God all the glory for bringing Claire into our lives. Worth the wait? We are so ecstatic! She is doing great. Sweet as sugar. Sleeps well and eats like she was born to do it all the time! So all in all we are so happy and can’t wait to go on with life...

Claire’s adoption day part 1. | Our adoption Journey
https://gregandjoannamiller.wordpress.com/2010/07/26/claires-adoption-day-part-1
Claire’s adoption day part 1. Please forgive me for the huge lack of posts in the past two months! I have been so busy adjusting and loving Claire. She is doing so amazing- sleeping through the night since nine weeks, she is happy, loves to girggle, and coo. Her big brother is simply wild over her! The phone rang at 7:15am and it was the lovely voice of our social worker Meredith. We knew when she called it was going to be the moment we have been waiting for! She says” Hi Joanna it’s Meredith! 8221; I co...

Claire’s adoption day part II | Our adoption Journey
https://gregandjoannamiller.wordpress.com/2010/08/03/claires-adoption-day-part-ii
Claire’s adoption day part II. Thanks to all for waiting so patiently. I have run into several people who said they can no longer wait for the next one. So I decided I just need to find time. Well its eleven o’clock at night – I will try my best! 8221; Let me just say I know without a doubt this is the strongest women I know! I still don’t know how she got away from the boyfriend without him knowing, I just think God was watching out for her that day. Her mom picked her up, took her to the scho...All so ...

FOR THOSE WHO WAIT. HE has been everything to us and I hope HE can be everything to you as well! FOR THOSE WHO WAIT. Another day, another waiting time. A little different but it’s still the same. I am here, where is the one I’m longing for. I’m having trouble, feeling all alone. Will my heart ever find a home. I want to hope but sometimes I just don’t know. I know I’m not the only one. So we sing a lullaby to the lonely heart tonight. Let us set your heart on fire, let it set you free. March 30, 2010.

Claire’s Adoption Day III | Our adoption Journey
https://gregandjoannamiller.wordpress.com/2010/08/13/claires-adoption-day-iii
Claire’s Adoption Day III. To answer a few questions that popped up… The birth mother kept her pregnancy and birth a secret to save her relationship with her boyfriend. He was under the impression that she had a miscarriage early in the pregnancy. Abortion or life ….she chose life! I believe God protected her those nine months and kept that man extremely blind! The first order of business was an epidural! It seemed like an eternity waiting on that man to arrive! My hat is off to all you who have done thi...

October | 2009 | Our adoption Journey
https://gregandjoannamiller.wordpress.com/2009/10
Archive for October, 2009. Change is hard isn’t it? Found out with Carter that getting my routine messed up can be challenging to me. But, God didn’t call any of us to a life of ease. Which we learned the hard way and wouldn’t trade our experience for anything! As Greg and I have pondered and prayed about our situation in Nicaragua, we have come to the conclusion that our adoption in Nicaragua is going to take awhile, ( we are bright aren’t we? There are domestic infant adoptions that do happen outside o...
