The weather has been changing all the time recently, we've had snow, sun, rain, lots of rain, cold days and not so cold nights, so we've had the lot in the last ten days or so although the levels in the lake aren't changing that much from day to day and if anything the water temperature has risen ever so slightly.

The mere threat of snake hips Jones doing a rain dance has brought some much needed precipitation for the last couple of days, the result is that the lake has risen by about 2 feet and it will probably do another 6 inches tonight although the rain has stopped this afternoon leaving clear skies behind. This is the biggest piece of turkey we could fit in a Coleman oven so in that respect its a fcuk-in big bird. Not quite on xmas day but at 3 am on the 26th, the largest carp of the session so far picked up the wrong bait and had a visit to the bank. At 51lb 4oz its a big fish. Links to this post. The session at Cassien has come to an end and whilst I had a fishless last ten days or so, Paul finished off with this lovely south arm mirror of just over 40lb. You hear a few things now and again about this and that, but until a long session is done on a water when you get to see it for what it is, then I suppose you never know for sure what goes on.
