Alleghany is located in Northern California. Coming from the north or south, head for Sacramento. Coming from Sacramento, exit I-80 in Auburn onto Hy 49 North. Follow Hy 49 to Nevada City. Coming from Reno / Sparks, exit I-80 near Truckee onto Hy 20 West. Follow Hy 20 to Nevada City. Take Hy 49 West out of Nevada City and continue through North San Juan. A little ways past the Middle Yuba bridge (Freemans Crossing) turn right (East) onto Ridge Road. Follow Ridge Road (S180) about 18 miles to Alleghany.
