In the middle of September 2008, Lough Muckno was the most beautiful location for Castleblayney annual fishing festival. “The Monaghan Pairs Competition”, takes place over six days with one hundred fishermen from the UK taking part. The prize money this year was 20,000 euro and we are delighted that over. Of fish was caught during the festival.
