Things that Bug Me: Counting change
http://whatbugsmeblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/counting-change.html
Monday, January 5, 2009. At a fast-food restaurant, the bill comes to $5.41. I hand the drive-thru guy a ten-dollar bill, plus the 41 cents in change. Obviously, they must have the old-fashioned, manual cash registers, and my method of payment must have thrown him, because, I swear, five minutes later, he hands me four one-dollar bills. I say, no, I gave you $10.41. He says "oh, right," and hands me a five, but doesn't take back the original four dollars. Tempted. I was tempted. July 29, 2009 at 9:28 AM.

Things that Bug Me: Customer Service in Bangalore or wherever the hell
http://whatbugsmeblog.blogspot.com/2010/07/customer-service-in-bangalore-or.html
Thursday, July 22, 2010. Customer Service in Bangalore or wherever the hell. I am so tired of American companies outsourcing their customer service to companies who don't speak English (or who have such a strong accent as to be unintelligble). I just railed at one person for three minutes and they didn't understand a word I said. Finally I was given a different phone number to call and it was THE SAME CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER. This is not pleasureable. October 19, 2010 at 3:08 PM. We find that most custom...

Things that Bug Me: Cars & Parking
http://whatbugsmeblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/cars-parking.html
Sunday, August 22, 2010. Last week I was inundated with these things that bug me (was there a plot to push me over the edge? People who park too close to the corner, so I can't see traffic coming. I inch out, slowly, s-l-o-w-l-y, until I think it's good, then hold my breath and gun it. Please, people, if there's not enough room for the length of a tire in that tiny space, there is not enough room for your CAR. And speaking of parallel parking. Does the DMV actually require this on their test anymore?

Things that Bug Me: "we updated our website"
http://whatbugsmeblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/we-updated-our-website.html
Wednesday, October 13, 2010. We updated our website". These days, almost every company has a website, where you register to (a) receive info or promos, (b) pay your bill, or (c) monitor an account. This has happened to me twice in the last week: I go to log into a website, and my login information doesn't work. I either call the support number (if there is one), or email their "contact us" email address, and either wait 20 minutes on hold or 3 days for an email response. October 19, 2010 at 2:54 PM.

Things that Bug Me: May 2010
http://whatbugsmeblog.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 23, 2010. Yep, humans. I have spent the last several days being let down by humankind in one way or another. My biggest grievance is the lack of courtesy. if you tell me you are going to do something, and my life and schedule is contingent on that, then, when you *don't* do what you said you would, it is more than just something that bugs me. Just tired of being screwed over, is all. Friday, May 14, 2010. Bicyclists on the sidewalk. Ride in the road? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bicyclists on ...

Things that Bug Me: Drivers
http://whatbugsmeblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/drivers.html
Friday, August 14, 2009. I figure - once I get started - this could be a blog about bad drivers. I mean, I could put at least a post a day about some idiot on the road. But then I'd have to change the title to "Drivers That Bug Me.". So I'll just have the one entry, and maybe update it occasionally (if I do it every time I'm bugged by a driver, I'll be here all day, every day). Here's one: car manufacturers put turn signals in the car FOR A REASON. Use them! August 14, 2009 at 11:14 AM. Things that Bug Me.
