Wee Bookworm: Royal Albert Hall Archives
http://weebookworm.blogspot.com/2015/07/royal-albert-hall-archives.html
Thursday, 30 July 2015. Royal Albert Hall Archives. I have just spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the Royal Albert Hall. Being shown round by their two lovely archivists. As a 'holding house', the Hall has slightly different archives to the National Theatre but there are more similarities than differences. We both use the CALM database as well as CALMView and it has been really helpful to compare experiences with the software and to see how they have re-branded the front end. As an archive of a 'holdin...

The tweed version: Wiki world

I call it the library suit. See this pocket? That's for your library card. See this pouch? Loose change, in case you've got any fines! Otherwise known as a 23 things Cambridge blog. Friday, 27 August 2010. I have to confess I think Wikipedia is amazing. I am aware of the problems, I know it is unreliable or at worst downright inaccurate; it will never replace proper research. But it is also gives a list of past Neighbours characters. To manage the Catalog. On this week's Cam23 blog. Johnthan Strange and ...

Books, bikes and biscuits. The diary of a Cambridge graduate trainee librarian. Corpus Christi and Christ’s. It’s been back to work this week after my holiday last week, and it took me a little while to get back into the swing of things! Steven is hoping that this can be altered at some point in the near future to one of...

The Blog of the Bookworm: Hopping over podcasts to the (wonderful) world of wikis
http://bookwormblog23.blogspot.com/2010/08/hoping-over-podcasts-to-wonderful-world.html
The Blog of the Bookworm. Monday, 16 August 2010. Hopping over podcasts to the (wonderful) world of wikis. I had to ponder quite a bit over the use of wikis for libraries. In the end I was asking myself whether wikis are really more useful for interaction with patrons than the plain and ordinary library website. What would be the point of having users be able to edit library information? Mentions trainee librarians use the wiki format for keeping in touch and discussing CATALOG. A Delve in the Shelves.
